Yes, smart choice if you're running 285/70/17. About 99.9% should be using metric tires in our setups, but we love options!

keep us updated on how those new tires work and handle in the rain and any other Weather ... they sure look nice and are very lightweight for the size..

Will do. I wanted the C rated KO2s, not so much as rating but black wall, I can't stand whites on the inside, need to use a huge sharpie to black out the letters.... but read way to much bad press them and past rigs they sucked in cold and wet weather. So far press has been good on Toyos. Saw it on CNN so it must be true:cheers:

Wow! You've got it bad if you're using a sharpie for the lettering on the INSIDE of your tires.

On a car it wouldn't matter as you can't see it. Whites on the inside on trucks it sticks out like a sore thumb, in my opinion looks worse than whites out.

A got these less than a month ago and was able to try them out in the rain. They are much better than the KO's.

One of the many reasons I never used a single one of the 3 years of free oil changes I got with my 2016 4Runner or 2019 Highlander. Bunch of clueless hacks. Not worth the headache that pretty much always comes from dealer oil changes. Constant posts about all the things they screw up doing something so simple.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
This stuff works great and lasts a long time.

Which Kit did you get & are those dimmable? To they fade as they're turning off or they just cut off?

LOL yes if cnn said it then it’s all true... haha but for the white letters on the inside get some tire spray paint and paint them before you mount them it works wonders duplicolor makes it..

Thanks for the paint tip but wanted to try Toyos anyway. Had bad luck on an old truck with (3) different sets of KO2s in cold wet weather.
So before and after. Minor rub that a heat gun will handle at full reverse lock

Began some prep work for Genesis dual battery install. Tracking shows that batteries should arrive tomorrow.

This is one of my favorite mods, I gave up on two different sets of LEDs for the H9 with an H9 wiring harness. I replaced the stock fogs with Hella H11 bulbs, I like it for now until I find the need for some Baja Design Squadrons.

I know what you mean, I was hesitant at first, but after doing some reading, I took the chance. The Hellas have been in for 10 months, no burn or damage to the inside of the housing. I added a harness just for additional safety measure.

Just a harness extension? Do you turn them on regularly or just here and there?

Yes, extension wiring harnesses. I use them almost everyday on the way to work and whenever I can.

Thanks, yeah on 285. The Toyos look less aggressive (I think) than the Falken but they used only minor weight to balance and ran it up to 80 hwy and rode very smooth. I have the FN rims but I think a spacer on the pro rims can have the same clearance??
Right now has 3/8" rake. Just waiting for replacement rear springs from eibach to get it to 1"

Sounds good!! Yeah the Toyos are like the Nitto’s less aggressive but very smooth riding. I wish I could have stayed with the Falkens I liked the look. Too much balancing issues. Did you notice much difference in power loss with the 285’s?

I do not notice a power loss. The tires are 46lbs, 7lbs over stock dunlaps and the rims are less weight but not sure how much. So glad i went 285....I worried to much for nothing!

I plan on moving up to 285’s as soon as I decide which way I’m lifting my Pro a little.

Blast it...I need to stay off this forum.

Ordered these today also. I guess for $25 these seem like a worthwhile upgrade
