What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

I had a 2016 SR5 with the third row seating, and those spaces have cup-holders in em.

Doesn’t make sense that they wouldn’t have built storage compartments into them for the other models.

 

While driving my 4Runner today, I saw not one but two FJ Cruisers. I don't know the last time I saw an FJ Cruiser in real life. I never knowingly saw one. I didn't know they existed until earlier this year. They were both parked in different places in Milltown, NJ, too.

 

What is that?

 

Needed a switch for my lightbar. Might as well not be boring

See them pretty regularly around here. Loved my 08 & 12 would've bought a 15 instead of the Tacoma, IF they still imported them here

 

they’re everywhere here! I probably see three or four every day that I’m out. Toronto, Canada.

 

I just watched a review of this. The lockout mode alone might be worth it if someone tries to steal the vehicle.

 

Where did you mount the light bar? I am wanting the behind grill mount but it is the wife's truck & it isn't necessary during current conditions. We hardly leave @ night anymore... cannot even plan a trip as everything is a ways away.

Not today.. but recently blacked out the emblems on my ‘18 SR5 premium.

 

In all honesty, that's the feature that interests me most.

 

I'm surprised you haven't seen more.

There are 3 FJ's that reside within 5 minutes of my house. One is garage kept and the other two are driveway dwellers like my 4Runner.

 

rarely see any FJ cruisers anymore here in New England. I think they all rusted away?

 

I had an ‘08 FJ. Loved it!! Great vehicle. The rear doors were a terrible design though.

Installed the TRD Pro grill today. Still haven’t decided if I actually like the Raptor lights enough to install them.

 

I'm with you on those too. Still debating those, swapping or painting valances to look like Pro.

 

Prolly going to plastidip my valances. Cheaper and easier.

Us Non Pro guys don't have the Black Valance ( Can I say that today? Don't want to get banned)
So we have to decide on that & the Raptor lights. I have looked into Plastic dip. Stuff looks real nice & easy to work with!!

 

Moved the rotopax to the ladder. Will need the roof space when camping time comes around

Meso puddle pods for some brighter pod and different look.

Instead of plasti dip, I scuffed, cleaned with acetone, and rattle can bedlined. Been holding up well

 

Swapped out all 4 door speakers and the cargo hatch speakers, love the new sound so far. Highs and mids come through very clear. Just over an hour to complete.

I then installed the ram X grip phone mount.... I like it... But don't love it. Nothing negative with the product but with my larger phone I should've got the XL. Thinking of trying the quad lock at some point with this same base..



And then i traded some stuff and ended up with a couple subwoofers... So I guess hooking these up will be the next project. Will definitely be adding a quick disconnect so I can quickly and easily remove the entire box when I need more cargo room.
