What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

I left my OEM cover off BUT now I'm gonna order one of these

 

So far pretty good, but I've only been around the block so far, lol. Hoping to get out on some forest roads this weekend. I did the "street tune" which is their softest setup; with the intent of getting 0 on the dial to be soft, and have the ability to dial up to get it reasonably stiff if needed; for if I'm carrying a bunch of gear, or find it bottoming out too often on the trails.

 

I went with the SL, but they do have the LT, both in stock sizes.

Nice! Sounds much more economical than paying $1,300 for a set of the Factory Race Series with adjusters.......which I've been eyeballing but don't want to pay that much.

Your solution sounds like a really good compromise. Would like a softer ride around town, but be able to dial them up a bit for road tripping and offroading. Keep us updated on what you think of them.

 

Took my 4runner for a day trip to the beach... got to use my ARB deflator for the first time to air down to 18psi... really trekked it through the sand in 4HI, and had a lot of fun doing it...

 

Haven't decided if i will polish it smooth or not.

 

Nice concept but reminds me of first generation early 2000's airbag covers. Not sure if I'm fan of these steering wheel logo overlay yet:

 

its the chrome i can't stand.

Test fit a hang glider on the rack. The front is a Yakima DryDock and the roof is an LFD 3/4.

My Wheels Arrived. Still need to decide on what Tires to run.

 

Yeah. It can be eyecatching and reflecty.

I'm keeping my black AJT logo overlay the way it is. It's dull enough that it doesn't stand out in my peripheral vision. It might not look as nice as if I plastidipped it, but it's way easier to do.

I considered getting a red AJT overlay because my truck's red in order to make it match, but I decided simply keeping the steering wheel as nondescript as possible was the most important thing for me.

Installed the Baja Design Squadron lights. Fairly easy...

 

Yesterday towed boat to lake 1st time out for the season, wicked crowded!
Today washed it.

 

Well, that load of wood sat the stock rear end down 2 7/8" and I estimate it was well over 1000 pounds of wet brown treated lumber.

Here's all that plus a few more boards installed alongside our fishing pontoon (and goose fencing).



And here's that platform I created to make a level deck in the 4Runner.
I'm not as young as I should be for this amount of work spread across Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.

Alas, the 4Runner is now showing 17.6 MPG after that round trip.

 

What's lift are you running?
