I'm running 6112/5160 under mine and I love it. I had 5100s front and rear first and they weren't bad but this combo rides much nicer.

Fun cars. Sold my '30 A Deluxe Delivery last year. Same colors, chicle drab/copra drab. Went to New Zealand. Problem around here is most folks under 40 don't understand/appreciate them. I got tailgated, pulled out in front of all the time. These old cars can't react in time.

    Beautiful car.

I love the simplicity and mechanical aspects of it. Super cool car. He’s already planning on selling it, though. Found out it doesn’t fit 6’4” all that great.

IMG_20170219_085355.jpg So true. I learned alot about cars and repairs from my A. Helped me appreciate the basics and advancements of my Yota. Yeah I'm with him, at over 6 feet myself, it was tight. Love the space in my 4runner.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
I'm 6'2 and you want tight? Try out my 1948 Willys. Not friendly to long legs at all!

Sick setup!!! Definitely one of the best tire/wheel combinations I've seen in stock size.

@travelinscout Interesting. In fact I had 0 interested buyers in the US. Only Europe and NZ. I'm told vintage cars are rarer over there and there is more of an interest for them than here.

Thanks!! Plan to raise the front at some point but wife is wanting bumpers front and back, sliders, skids, etc. She basically wants an overland type vehicle so we'll have to piece everything together then figure out suspension and spring weights then install everything at once. I'm definitely not "lifting" it just going to level it out and keep the factory size tires so it doesn't look funny. Leveling my Tundra with Bilstein 6112/5160 was so much easier decision process than all the possibilities and scenarios of the 4runner.

That's definitely a practical way to go. It'll still look pretty good with the armor. There's always a little trial and error waiting for the suspension to settle while adding weight to your rig. The hardest part is waiting for parts to arrive. Although, finding projects for the rig while waiting for bumpers is easy.

    The same 4Runner everyone has
Couple updates. First is removing the "Super Bright blah blah LED 921 reverse bulbs" that are covered in random LED emitters. Replaced them with Gy6.35 halogen bulbs as described in this thread here:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/gy6-35-hir-921-reverse-light-upgrade-vs-high-power-leds.474996/

I'm finding out more and more that mashing LED blister packs into halogen housings is not the best idea. Halogen upgrade on the left, LED garbage on the right, the results speak for themselves:

Next up is a pet barrier upgrade. The Raingler nets work great if you have laid back dogs, but one of ours is so persistent that she finds a way to wiggle around it every time. I bought the Bullet Proof Fabrication pet barrier (still on sale?) and it works phenomenally. It is also easy to add gear to. I attached a soft first aid kit in the dead space next to the headrest (front of the panel).

Is there a reason that Eibach says that their rear spring can only be used with their rear shock?

Shouldn't be at all. Short height lifted springs can be used with stock shocks, but it's just not as ideal as longer ones.

Thanks Crikeymike! This is what I was looking at, it’s says 1” lift. I’m not sure what shock I’d use with it, probably a 2.5 IFP without an external reservoir.
