What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Those pieces actually come out with a few small screws. I took mine and plastidipped to get the black finish.

 

Put some new all weather floor mats in today. Should have bought a set before winter, but I'll still get plenty of use out of them through all the seasons .

 

That's the same set that came with my vehicle. My absolute favorite thing about them, bar none, is that big fancy yellow tag on the driver's front mat that say, "Don't even think about putting this thing in upside down." Wouldn't you know it, it was also on the dealer's checklist to cover with me as a checkbox when I bought the vehicle. I think they take this point fairly seriously at Toyota!

 

I thought the same thing about that giant yellow tag!

The old unintended acceleration days that they blamed on the floor mats.

 

It’s not difficult but Take your time and pay attention. Don’t force anything. It’s easy to break tabs.

And use bulb grease. Water gets in there. Mine were wet when I got inside. Probably from car wash, but still. Grease them while you’re in there.

 

Are the all weather mats standard on the ORP's?

 

Not sure. They were in there when I bought it, but I didn’t check the sticker.

It would be kinda nice if they went up behind the gas pedal, but I dig ‘em anyway.

 

They are not standard on any model, they are an option. I bought my 2016 SR5 new and they were included.

 

Maybe my sales guy just thought I was super cool and put ‘em in there.

The cargo area mat was one of my first purchases when I got the truck. A little pricier, but I went with the Husky cargo mat in back. That area gets really wet and sandy with all the wetsuits and crap I put back there. I really liked how the lip on the Husky mat went all the way around to contain the sand and water. But I couldn't justify $200 for the front and rear seat Huskys. They're nice, but I didn't want to spend that much.

 

Finally got around to installing the Blind Spot Mirrors (RAV4) on my 2019 4R Pro. Happy on how they turned out. Also put on some plastic Strike Plate Cover as well.

 

What does the strike cover do?

 

Nothing at all. lol. Basically just covers it for looks.

 

Getting tires rotated saw the new land cruiser. Pretty sweet minus the basket

 

Is the glass the same size as the oem?

 

I got the full mat set including the cargo area when I bought my '19 SR5. The dealer threw them in as part of the sale, they do not come with every vehicle. I think they are part of a package.

 

Same here, front middle and back. I was told it was the weather package. I guess it's whatever the respective dealer wants to sell it and market it as. I like them and I'm glad they came with it.

 

Yes. I replaced mine on my 20 TRDORP. I did have one tab break on the original mirrors but otherwise very easy replacement.

 

Here the dealership asks if you would rather carpet or all weather mats... I have gotten all weather mats on my last 5 toyotas.

But i think i may switch to some huskys... Cover more area.

They gave me the all-weather rubber mats AND the carpet ones. I've got the carpet mats still in the plastic taking up space in the basement.

It’s fits prefect. The design behind the glass is slightly different but it’s fits and matches up with the 4R.

 

Funny. That one tab on the original, it’s like it was meant to break off. lol Had that happen to me as well.

I made a "badge" to stick them to and mounted it with zip ties. Not perfect but I like it. The last pic are stickers that go over the orange side markers on the headlights. I'll put them on and post pics when it gets warmer out there.

 

I want one...but in white. Maybe one day. That sticker price (MSRP) is no joke. lol

 

@KSJ08 Congrats, man!!! I was afraid i was gonna get laid off or lose my job but that isnt happening, as of yesterday so now im trying to figure out what to do next!
