What bracket did you use for the Baja Squadrons? I have a set I took of f my Tacoma but wasn’t for sure they would mount up on my 2020 TRDORP.

That looks a lot better for sure, travelinscout! Did you remove the part or tape it off?

I bought some .7 mm plastic at Walmart for .97c. There is a really good youtube of a guy doing his in upstate NY. It's a red ORP and I just followed his guidance. The cool thing is, once the valance surface is free of all wax and everything else, it becomes very tacky and the plasti dip sticks. I covered the whole back of the truck in plastic, and used thick painters tape and left about .25 inch away from the valance itself. Make sure to tape the plastic up and out of the way. The key is lots of very thin coats, about 5-7 of the black, and the same for the glossifier. Then I waited about 2.5 hours, and very carefully pulled away the tape from the car making sure not to pull away, but rather up and in the same plane as the valance. Because of the multiple coats, it was a nice thick piece that pulled away. There was virtually nothing that stuck to the paint of the truck at all. Initially I was concerned about dirt adhesion since the surface feels tacky and rubbery to the touch. I just got home from a mountain bike ride with my son, and the bumper was covered in dust. Grabbed the hose, and it came right off! Here is the link to the video I watched a few times before I did mine. Good luck!

I installed the Diode Dynamics Tail as Turn module and am very impressed with the light output now having 4 LED back up lights. My driveway is quite long and dark, this was was a well worth it addition!

I drove it for the first time in like a week today, I miss it. Beautiful day outside, sunny and warm with no traffic. I may have taken the long way around to enjoy a bit of alone time out side.

In the past 3 weeks, I’ve filled the 40 gallon garbage can with stuff 4 times. I’ve taken a bed frame, mattress, and box spring to the dump. I gave about 15 blankets and bunch of old towels to a dog rescue. I gave away a bunch of home and kitchen stuff via driveway/porch pickup (I’m really annoyed with how many people say they want something specific son it set it aside and put it bag or box for them and then they don’t show up). Today’s drive was taking a full folded-down-seats load of stuff to a donation center. I’ve gone through everything we own on 2 floors of our house, now onto the basement lol.

Ordered RAV4 mirrors to replace my stock with stuck on blind spot mirrors. I’ll take the chance to take apart the mirror body and replace the stock puddle lights with LEDs from fryefly. So far their interior kit is excellent, just didn’t do the puddle light Leds. Will update when done!

I replaced my puddle lights quite a while ago, I don’t remember taking the housing apart, I thought I just popped the glass out and it was a screw or two to take the light housing out.

popped the puddle light glass out? It does have a plastic piece around it which I haven’t figured out how to open. Any help from any of you would be appreciated as I really don’t want to take apart the entire mirror housing.

I won’t even bother selling stuff unless I’m getting least $40. That’s my threshold of making it worth my time to deal with people. I give away or donate a lot of stuff, it just pisses me off when I’m willing to give somebody something they want for free, no strings attached, and they still waste my f’n time.

When I switched out my Blacked out mirror directionals and installed the MESO puddle lights I pulled the painted plastic caps off my ORP Mirrors to get to the inside of the mirror housing. As far as I can tell you need to do this to access the puddle Light Bulb housing.
Here’s what the Stock bulb housing looks like when apart.

I dont think you need the glossifier. It makes it a little glossier than without it, but not what I would call shiny. If you are looking for a very matte look, I would skip the glossifier, and just use the black. Post some pics after you do it!

Your welcome. Here’s the video that came from where I purchased the Directional lights. Like I mentioned I pulled off the plastic caps, and didn’t remove the mirror it self like shown in the video.

I considered the wrap route but settled on the bed-liner spray for durability....being on the front end and all.
Not a single chip, scratch or loss of color on it yet, two years of mud, gravel, underbrush, small saplings, etc.

Swapped out the stock chrome side mirror turn signals this past weekend to all black replacements.

Was super simple and went off without a hitch. I went with the Black sequential ones to go with the sequential turn signals on my AM smoked headlights I installed before Easter.

    SignalLights.jpg

...not sure how to attach a video of them lite but trust me they look great ;)

NEXT!, onto getting them tail lights swapped out for some smoked ones!

I’d consider it, but I plan on having some type of bumper mod done in the front by next summer. So I just need to clean up the front a little to last a year or less.

Blows my mind how Toyota added less and less of these features as newer models came out. My 2011 SR5 had everything the “premiums” have, and then some. And they’ve gotten more expensive too:(

Doing the valance with plastidip was extremely easy. I didnt really have to worry about overspray, as it comes right off. Do a decent job taping with lots of coats, and you'll be fine!

I asked this over on the other site but got no response (apologies if you view this as a double post). I just bought a 2020 to replace my totaled 18. I’m trying to get rid of the weird chrome grill inserts Toyota thought we’d like this year. On a search I saw a picture of a factory insert that was black not chrome. I was looking for the part on a Toyota parts site and see they’re listed as discontinued. Anyone have any insight or experience with this? Odd a 2020 MY part would be discontinued already....
