Yup 220v is needed for the lift, and other stuff as well. And there will be outlets every 5 feet. And a few on the roof beams as well.

Yea there are footers and rebar, and termite protection.... even though the building will be metal LOL

Thats all REQUIRED here for permitted buildings.

I don’t have a lift but my neighbor gave me an oven that the burners don’t work on. I use it for powder-coating...

Shit if my wife gets her way i wont have a lift either... Ill have a party building.

I could of saved a few thousand bucks if that was my intention, wouldnt of needed the extra expense of 3500psi concrete, or need it to be 6" thick... Or need the 2 10x10 garage doors... Or need the side heights at 12' tall. I should tell her ill make it a party building IF she gives me the money i wasted setting it up as a shop... But that wouldnt go over very well LOL

Your wife sounds cool! Definitely get a lift. Definitely leave room for a loft for all the shit the wifey will wanna store in your shop. Make sure you have multiple 220v outlets, extend the closed in part snd reduce the lean to portion. 21x41 isn’t big enough. Trust me on this! Make the garage doors bigger than 10’, my 16 footers are much nicer than shorter doors. Brings the outside inside.

At least 16’ to the rafters makes good corn hole throwing for those winter parties.

Make SURE you have a bathroom out there.

Oh, and congratulations on the new shop. I practically live in mine. It’s where I’m at when I’m not working with my business or sleeping. Sitting in here as I write this.

Id love to go bigger. That was as big as i could afford though... It was only going to be 20x30 at first. Doors were going to be 7x8... But i saved a bit longer... Im tired of waiting at this point. Dont want to save for 3 more years LOL Lean to was really cheap to add on, the idea was to give me somewhere to grill and not have to worry about it raining, put a patio set out there and have a nice spot to cook and eat.

I would only have 1 vehicle in it being worked on at a time. No boats or vehicles will be kept in there. We have a carport for that. And NOTHING will be stored in there. Already have a separate wood working shop, barn type shed, and half empty storage connex on my property... She can store crap in one of them LOL

Switches. Tried the CH 4x4 switch (pictured in hand) looks better to me but sticks everytime I use it!
Picked up onboardair switch that fits and works like a champ. Color matches better as well

2600 is a good price. I cant seem to find it online.

I been eyeing this combo package... But It's $7000 delivered with an 11K lift... $6000 with a 9K lift.

But the wife is like "you'll only use it a couple times a year... We both drive 2019 toyotas" she says "we'll drink and shoot pool every weekend, that's much more useful and you'll save money"

I'm like "yea but a nice shop would be badass woman" :D

I'm only 35 years old. But I'm a Disabled veteran and don't work... So I'm currently in college for automotive technology and performance. Just as a hobby. So i wanted a shop... Her argument makes sense... But i still like the idea of having a decked out garage.

Wow!! That’s a business right there....I got room...and you should use braces, after lifting, on the front and rear of the vehicle? My neighbor does this I noticed...

The more I learn about the stock OffRoad rims the more I like them. They have a thicker outer rim, they Have a nice safe pocket for the valve stem, you can put 275/70/17s on without much modification because of their offset, because they are wide you can even put 285s on them. I have had some regrets about giving them up for the grey SEMA rims, and not using the money I spent on rims elsewhere. If you can deal with the look they are actually a good rim, if you can’t then I would suggest looking through the build thread for what looks good to you. Just MHO

Got our first small milestone (no pun intended).
    Bought it March 7th.
My wife & a friend took a 3k mile trip to Tennessee earlier this summer! At this rate I will be driving this till I am dead! I am happy about that! Lol
I love our T4R! Glad I found this site & the knowledge of you all! Thanks.
First 5k miles & not a hiccup to be had.

A two post lift doesn't take up that much room. I think you should have enough room for both options. I would definitely throw a lift in there. I have wanted one for years.

If you want to... You can peel that raised AVS sticker off. Mine has AVS molded into the plastic underneath the sticker (My sticker is long gone).

I used a little isopropyl alcohol to remove the remaining sticky. But there wasn't much left at all.
