Red looks great on the sides.

I vote for blacked out on the front.

I like both. I also like the blue truck. I’m not a fan of the Blacked out letters/logo against the flat black plastic on the tail gate. I was going to do the red on the side panel, but in the end I just blacked them out. 1) one less project on the list, 2) I like the flat black overlay against the “midnight black” paint (or whatever Toyota calls their black finish), 3) I’m going with grey overlays on the tailgate logo/letters to match the Pro grill letters. I though a third color would be too much. But the cool thing... we can make out trucks look different.

Are you interested in selling your stock temperature control knob? Mine is missing the orange plastic piece that points to the temp setting.

Looks good! I want the long automatic shifter from them. If i get that I'll probably add these knobs as well.

I’d be interested in the knobs if someone had a mod to add them to my aftermarket Pioneer radio.

Yesterday i threw on some tyger steps/running boards... I'm on the fence about liking them... I like the design, but since my 4runner isn't lifted, and since there's currently street tires on it... it looks off to me a bit.

I plan to add some meatier all terrains in the future and a lift is also a possibility... But for now I'll live with these. I guess they'll at least protect against some door dings.

Completely different note.. I start a full automotive technology class next week. 2 years long, Monday-Friday.

I'm in my mid 30s. Decided i didn't like not knowing how to work on engines myself so i enrolled in an in depth program. Everything from engines, transmissions, electrical, a/c, brakes, suspension and performance training. All systems are covered fully. Hands on at the local college. Looking forward to it.

Black out what? The front and back badges? I removed the side badges. I guess i could try and find some decals that go over the front and back badges...

Plasti-dip never lasts long with me. It gets chipped or peeled off while offroading. If i wanted to do the roof bars I'd need them replaced or painted. More money than its worth most likely.

Black rims are cool, I've had them... But they stay dirty and are a pain to clean. I live a mile and a half down a dirt road that's either extremely dusty when dry or mud puddles everywhere when wet. Too much work with black LOL

There is an overlay kit made by Toyota that goes right over the OEM chrome emblems and makes them matte black. Looks much better IMO I agree, stay away from plastidip, stuff is junk.

I'm not a fan of the stock rims or the chrome badging on the 4runners.

I don't have any problems with the stock rims... Tires are more important to me than rims. I'm not a fan of these stock tires though LOL

I completely debadged all 3 of my last Tacomas... I'm not a fan of chrome badges either. So i certainly look into the overlays.

Below is a link to buy the overlays for the front and rear badges.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01F42IS20/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I bought them here and installed in minutes and recommend.

Oh yee of little faith, bed-liner spray is not limited to black. Check your local spray shops, if they are good they can tint in a variety of colors...and they do WAY better job than you think you can do at home yourself (IMHO). It ain't as expensive as you might think either.

Nice, what load rating did you have/ go too? Just curious as some say E rated are none jarring and others say they are fine

Stock size 265/70/17 in load range C on the stock trail rims. On my Taco I went with the same tire but in load range E and it hurt acceleration, made poor braking even worse and rode like a 1 ton. Sticking with the stock load range they and don’t affect acceleration or braking and ride really well. Even with the same size they look bigger and I’m much happier.

I disagree. I have E rated tires under my 4Runner and the ride quality is great. No different than when I had P rated tires under it. Suspension makes a big difference in ride quality so choose your lift wisely. Also be careful of tire inflation. I have mine at 33 PSI even though they are good for 80 PSI Most tire shops are too stupid to know these trucks are not heavy enough to warrant high tire pressure and they will throw 50-60 pounds in them when they mount them. That will drastically mess with ride quality. As far as acceleration and MPG, no kidding a heavier more aggressive tire is going to have a negative impact. I ran Falkens in P rating an my economy dropped just as much as when I ran E rated 295 Ridge Grapplers. Is what it is and it's all part of driving a lifted truck.
