What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Haven't done anything yet but just got the driver side slider from Budbuilt. The pass slider and all the skids should be here tomorrow!!!!

Enjoyed the holiday yesterday and cleaned the T4R up.

 

My bad , if you live in Saint Louis there was no way to avoid it. The City erupted.

 

I know how you feel, after 1993 I thought LA Kings will never get back to the finals. So awesome to see the first cup and actually went to two SCPlayoff games in 2014 ! It's the hardest trophy to win in all of sports imo … GKG !

I did however pack it & load the hell out of it.

Our GSD is in the rear with a rubbermaid container. The other dog carrier is for his best Lucy (best friend is a pug! Lol)

All I needed was for her to see the needs of the vehicle.

She won't use the factory RR,Great! LMAO
We had 1,500 miles on it & one way was 860ish miles!
Dash display told her 16.4 mpg. She didn't hand calculate.
Later this year I will do hand calculations to & from Colorado...

At my local dealer getting my 30k service done and spotted this.

 

Don't, you'll regret it. 4Runner is far superior to the Tacoma. I kept my 2016 Tacoma for 3500 miles, couldn't stand the junk 3.5 and 6 speed auto.

 

Cool! You spotted a ugly, camry motored, horrible shifting, 14 year old chassis, rip off of a truck. Congrats!

 

To be fair, our chassis is even older lol. That 3.5 is a great engine but it does not belong in a truck. Zero low end power, gutless until 3500-4000 rpm

 

But our chassis was designed to conquer the world, not the mall parking lot. The Tacoma is a disappointment and I hope Ford, Chevy, and the rest make Toyota step it up to where it once was.

I loved my 2016, I just couldn't get over the engine / transmission. Otherwise I thought everything else about it was perfect.

 

Had a 2002, 2004, 2007, and 2011. I liked the 1st gens the best. Built like tanks. Then things started to trend downhill. The new ones look nice but things are still heading downhill.

 

Got some more wrapping done. Still need to do the door handles and trim over the glove box. Working on doing away with the gloss black and carbon fiber. Lots of trial and error, think I did the radio 5 times.

 

Steering wheel looks dumb but I like the shifters.

 

You look dumb. Just saying. Shifters are just paint not wrapped. Steering wheel is wrapped around the switches, but has a decal over the bling. I appreciate your criticism, but you should be more specific.

 

Numnuts the Toyota decal in red looks like something a 17 year old civic owner would do

 

I got a-lot of glare off the chrome symbol on mine so I added one and it looks good matches all the red stiching

 

I'd rather see the logo blacked out

Can't deal with the chrome or the glare. I'm still getting used to the red, but it does match the other accents. Would like it black chrome.

 

dropped mine off for state inspection and to check the balance issue.

 

What's a good way to black out the logo on the steering wheel? Anyone sell any kits or anything?

 

Im toying with the idea of vynel wrap, if i get the time.

Saw this...not sure if it would be worth buying, scuffing, and painting. Says it can go over the existing badge. Though who knows what kind of damage it could cause to you if you ever had an airbag deployment and it went firing off into your face.
