Looking at this pic i realize that, had the line broke the car would have gone right into traffic (thanks to being on a construction bypass route) taken out the mail box and maybe the farmers fence if it cleared the culvert (the driveway has a bit of a slope). There i was, thinking i was being safe with the winch line blanket. The joys of doing everything solo.

What didn’t you like about the Falkens?
I have about 8000 miles on my Wildpeak A/T4s and I’ve noticed more road noise. They also get much worse gas mileage as compared to my previous Michelin LTX AT2s.

From my experience, the road noise gets worse over time, but i found they never stay balanced and require double the amount of weight to keep them so. I've had them on four Years (1 year in storage) and got tired of dealing with them. No brainer for me now that Toyo makes a 275.

I can still knock down 19-21 mpgs with Falken WP AT3 in 285/70/17. Have 40,000 on them and still smooth, quiet and no issues. Only balanced 1 time and rotated every 3000.

    are the AT4s that bad?

Not sure but my AT3s are already noticeably louder than new at just 6k miles, really wishing I would have given more consideration to the Toyos.

Very weird. Ive had really good experiences with Falken on my 2007, 2011 and 2022. When its time for new shoes, Im going to try out the Falken Rubitreks.

Just the GPS antenna left to finish it off. Waiting on a part, then it's done.

Received a Chinesium TPMS sensor from Luxious Auto: it was stuck in customs in Chiraq/IL for a while, but it finally arrived. Had to moved a switch blank around and it didn't click but it did fit fine: finally installed.

It does takes some effort to listen+hear each beep from outside during the tpms re/learn but it worked with the factory sensors.
