Drove my 4Runner to Alabama for the weekend. Saw bunches of 4Runners in Mobile and all along I-65.

 

So at home you never have a need for defense weapons?

 

Thanks, I an Xterra with a rocker for two flood lights on the rear of the roof rack. A couple times I bumped it and got a few honks and people pointing and throwing there hands in the air, until I figured out they we’re getting blinded, when I looked in the rear view and it was bright as hell…

 

Canada doesn’t let me keep any defence weapon whatsoever on my person, hell, even if you get caught with weapons in your car you don’t have things separated and locked, and can’t prove that you’re on the way to an approved, shooting area, you’re going downtown!

lol I hear ya man, and thanks. I’m honestly not sure it’s legal in Canada to have your safe next to your bed. You’ve prolly heard Canada is attempting a mandatory buy back but not a single firearm been seized yet I think it will never ever happen

 

just picked up two lo-pro hi intensity rock lights to mount to the rear bumper crossmember.
1260 lumens & 15w ea., 120° beam, waterproof, dustproof.
experimenting, and swapping out the existing 3” led pods cuz they’re quite long in depth.

back to what I’ve done today:

bought hi intensity rock lights
workin in the dark, had to drop the spare in order to remove the little crossmember skids, so I could remove the reverse led pods that the rock lights will replace.
So much dry dirt in there I can clean now LOL received just the right amount of dirt into my eyes for my troubles
Not sure if I’ll finish tnite.

That’s right buddy, so these new rock lights are much more low profile and perhaps will even survive a minor “fender bender”.

I ran trailer wire from my drivers side engine bay setup, through passenger side grommet, and down frame rail. Separate dash switch on a relay.

 

I walked outside, admired my 5th gen Pro after seeing an ad at a Toyota dealership for a 25 Pro, it was only $73, 484.

 

I had a horrible dream last night that my 4runner got stolen and stripped down to an empty shell. I think i woke up at 3am with tears in my eyes…. So I checked on her and she just fine sleeping away in the garage. Phew!!

 

Mother of God!!! $73k!?!?

 

The sad part is, someone will pay it.

Ahh yes. The best mod there is. The "It's paid for!" mod.

 

So my 22 year old daughter will graduate next month with zero debt, scholarships. In June of 24 I purchased my Pro using a portion of the funds we had set aside to pay for her college education. She is moving to Arizona in August to start working on her PhD, she wants to take my 4runner, since we purchased it using funds we had set aside for college, she says the money should be hers therefore the truck is hers. I think she will do just fine in her Rav4.
