Some folks like @Thacrow run theirs thru to the panel under the dash. I did mine to engine bay fuse box. I used the INJ1 fuse (with the add-a-fuse). I believe running it to the interior fuse box allows it to remain on when truck is powered down (and that's a perfectly fine option). Using the engine bay fuse box only powers it when truck is on accessory or full on. It's just a matter of preference.

Also forgot to add, I put a yellow light bar on top. It's not spectacular. Cheapy off Amazon. Maybe when money allows, I'll add a "real" one. But for now, it works.

I could have sworn I couldn't close the fuse box in the engine bay with an add a fuse, no?

I installed this 4x4 shifter knob a few days ago. It’s made from heavy aluminum so it doesn’t feel cheap. But I’m not sure if I like it yet.

My personal opinion, if you are keeping the bumper and winch get a quality aftermarket lift installed at a knowledgeable reputable off-road shop.

If your shocks only lasted 19K miles why would you ever want to replace them with the same crap?

Too many to list & Worth every penny!
I’m trying to understand what the reason for the denial for warranty.
    What leveling kit is installed.
    Is it spacers only?

Is the parts you installed adversely causing the failure of the shocks?
Did you cause the failure because of extra weight and the lift over extending or bottoming out your shocks?

Not sure bought it used from private seller had 33x12.5 tires on it, he never mentioned anything about a leveling kit. But says it has one installed.
By the why it failed PAState inspection also, because the tires protrude past the body line. What crap

Do not go to the dealer for inspections, find a local offroad close by. Chances are you have a large spacer lift which will cause shock to fail.

Never said I wanted to put them on, was just asking if anyone had thoughts on if the weight of the winch and bumper caused the blow

Mine closed no issues. Just have to be careful if you start tapping a bunch in there with add-a-fuse it can be hard to get on.

Now I have eyed these extenders:

    https://minwin3d.com/products/engine-bay-fuse-box-riser

But $75 is kinda steep. But it would give you some breathing room (so to speak).

@Borracho…respectfully, these Fox shocks are a pretty penny. Retail they are over $1000.00 apiece add to that dealer labor and I can totally see the OPs quoted price being a valid claim.
    front.jpg IMG_4081.png

EDIT: Inadvertently did not upload the screenshots for the front shocks.

This has been my setup going on four months and +4000 miles. Winch bumper/winch + other permanent weight totals over 200 lbs on the front wheels. Still original Fox TRD OEM shocks but installed the Eibach pro lift springs…still running stock size tires but the M.T.s are about 44 lbs vs the OEM Desert Duellers H/T 684 II at 35.7 lbs. I’ve put more than 4000 miles on this setup so far (ran a number of trails in the summer and a couple this winter) and not had any issues with the shocks (which now have over 52000 miles on them).

I’m suspecting that the previous owner ran some trails and potentially exercised the shock’s maximum stroke lengths - hard. Now depending upon the mass of the tires that came on your rig that could also be an added wear factor. But knowing what I’ve gotten out of my setup I highly doubt the bumper/winch weight alone could contribute to the shock’s early demise. However, I have to preface this with a question, what is your rig’s current height over the front axles (measure center hub to bottom of fender trim directly above the wheel hub centers)?

And what kind of bumper did you install? Full width, incognito style? Steel? Aluminum? Need to understand what kind of total weight that you added to the front.

I recall installing an add a fuse to one of the circuits along the far front side of the main fuse box and that row (bank) sits higher than the ones toward the fuse box’s centerline and the lid would not close all the way. I later installed a switch panel with accompanying protection breaker switches and master cutoff and tied it all to the battery directly. Got rid of add a fuses that sourced the grill lights and relays for some other lighting.

Eibach stage 2, load lifter kit, Maggie w/ OTT tune... Other stuff.
Unfortunately it not just dealerships, it's chronic throughout our society. Dealerships, home improvement stores, veterinarians... all try to make the exta sale.

    1) Sensor -
I'm tempted to upgrade my old dashcams with new models that got new Sony Starvis2 image sensor.
New sensor claim to have better night image quality, better dynamic range (eg when sun right in front), better license plate / road signs readability.

    2) Wifi capability-
I love how easy I can download the videos to my phone if I have to show a nice car or something interesting to my kiddo that I saw on the road.

    3) Parking mode -
I have 1 dashcam setup as parking mode. I have added a low voltage cicuit as 2nd set of protection not to drain the battery even though my blackvue dashcam already have built in low voltage cutoff.

    4) Indicator to show if cam is working or error -
Both my Viofo and Blackvue (and off brand rear dashcam) have LED indicators to show if they are recording or not.

Just a couple of thoughts on this...
    • data dump ease - wifi or pull SD card?
    • access via app - I would scour all available reviews to get an idea of how well each manufacturer's claims relate to actual user experience.
    • Features - other than just recording (loop, protected crash recording, etc) max. memory card size can become a factor, especially with dash cams @ 2K video and above and with more than one active camera in the system.
    • Shock recording - not all have this capability.
    • Radar (prox.) detect - I know my U1000 has a separately available radar unit, works well if someone/thing comes within close range of my rig.
    • Temperature sensitivity - some dash cams cant handle summertime heat (remember things get damn hot under the windshield)
