She loved it, did a lot of hiking. VT offered her a spot in their PhD program, so she might be going back for the next 5 years.

The Walmarts near me all have filter sections that are a disaster. Like someone shook up all the filters in a big box and just dumped them out on the shelves. And the look up book is generally missing or torn to shit. And the silly little readout box is often not functional. I've learned to have my numbers ahead of time or more often, shop elsewhere. Too bad, because I generally like Wally World.

    Excellent!

Hokies are, largely, a good bunch of people. My girl's in NC (not a Hokie), and quick to point out the VT stickers and license plates in her area: "You guys are all over the place here!"

Back on topic: my T4R got a break today, resting in the garage.

My daughter got accepted at NC State, Florida State, University of Arizona, University of Illinois, her home state, VT and Purdue. I was hoping for U of I, but they are at the bottom of the list. And I'm still trying to find someone to give me an estimate for the hail damage on my 4runner.

That's an impressive list. When it's not "Go, Hokies!" around here, it's "Go, Pack!"

    Warmest congratulations to your daughter.

For the hail damage, I really hope you put your 4runner to the best shop regardless the price and have insurance pay for it. Telling this because in 2018 the hail fix estimate by insurance was somewhere around $3000. But I didn't accept the check and let insurance pay the shop. After the repairs insurance paid just under $9000.

Congratulations to you and your daughter! My daughter completed her PhD 20 months ago at OU. It’s a long road that requires plenty of commitment. One of the things that we did was agree that she would come home once a month to reset. Her mom and I funded those flights and while it didn’t happen every single month, especially when she started writing her dissertation, it was a valuable ingredient in her success. Four years later we got to watch her walk across that stage with a big smile on her face. A great feeling and one I know you’ll cherish as I do.

Congratulations to you and your daughter. I'm not looking forward to her going farther away to school. After last night she has it narrowed down to University of Arizona, 22 hour drive, and UNC, 12 hour drive. She will graduate in May with majors in bio chemistry and math with a minor in Spanish. Her PhD will take 5 years. If she goes to Arizona she wants my 4runner and she says I can have her Rav4.

Sounds like your Walmart needs a change in managers. One closest to me has a big selection of OEM Toyota, Motorcraft, and MoPar filters in addition to the usual Fram stuff, and they are all placed in an orderly fashion on the shelves. Problem is...though they have about 10 different OEM Toyota oil filters on the shelf, they don't stock the one that fits my 4Runner!

I got one of those toyota dealerships upgrades everyone is talking about (oil change)
    Free misthreaded bolts
    Weight savings (lost spacers)
Fake tire rotations (i have a very distinct mark on the wheel face, same spot)

Although you can smell the drugs on the highway and what not. Dont know if that would get you positive? Probably. My neighbors mix their old stale gas and mix it with used motor oil and burn it. Not sure if that would test out.

They make alot too. I was offered a job as a lead carpenter instaling kitchens new construction. Like $20 a hour! Ya, I figure I can make $160 installing a whole kitchen. lol
Thats why the houses here are pieces of shit!lol

I can trim a whole house with all the options, 3 man crew for $500.

Eibach stage 2, load lifter kit, Maggie w/ OTT tune... Other stuff.
The few times i did go to the dealer, i pulled my skids before leaving the house. Kids think F'ing impact guns are for starting bolts. Lazy, uncaring and under trained.

Thinking the same thing when I saw that pic in your quote. Does no one own a ratchet anymore? Or fingers? Even the YouTube DIYs all just cram the hardware on... a rare one will state torque specs now and then.

One of the reasons I switched to Talons Garage skids as the front half of the engine skid comes off pretty easy. With back issues, this works for me as I can remove that by myself before going to the dealership.

Yea my last free oil oil change they actually sent me a video but it showed nothing being done. Just a guy saying what they did with my vehicle on a lift.
After about an hour I was bored and walked around to look at new cars. There was my 4runner parked out front.
About an hour later they called me and said they wanted to change my wiper blades. Damn car never moved. By By Toyota.
