I don’t understand anyone who says fuck you to everyone on a forum that they’ve never even met. I can see directing that to a specific poster with whom they had conflict, but not everyone. “Some people’s only purpose in life is to set a bad example for the rest of us not to follow.” Bobby Knight

kinda heavy handed when you're adding a quote from a coach that openly choked and threw chairs at players. LOL.

It’s a day later and I’m still laughing about him trading a 4Runner for a Camry. :D I thought he was going to buy a big roomy SUV like a Tahoe or Sequoia. Then he goes and buys a small sedan.

Wife wants steps on the 4runner, hates the stock ones. I want sliders. Any recommendations for either one.

I’m very happy with my caliraised sliders. My kid uses them as steps even though these are the trail edition, which are the narrow ones.

Another vote for RCI with the top plate, my wife didn't complain at all. Works great if you put your foot parallel to the door opening and step in.

    I dunno
My favorite part was him insulting the forum in the sales pitch

“like, I KNOOOW some fanboy is gonna buy this from me…”

    side note:
    ….we’re all 100% fanboys

edit:I think he mentioned selling to “dealer” but I’m feeling a distant cousin twice removed who refers to @64mech as “awh shiot, not him”

My bet is the guy never even owned a 4Runner, and just here to troll. I can't imagine anyone with above room temperature IQ would look at a 4R and proceed to buy it with real money and expect a sedan ride.

I finally got my 5th TMPS sensor set-up and working on my 2022 SR5 Premium. I followed the instructions from Tim the Trail Man’s video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONG0tAmwyrU – with one small exception. Due to not knowing the TPMS ID that was in the spare position (it was OEM since I rotated tires testing the new sensor), the shop in Tucson didn’t think it would work. Rather than rotating tires to put the non-OEM sensor back to the spare position and running the initialization program, we decided to put a false ID in the spare position that was one digit different than one of the other 3 OEM sensors. It allowed us to continue to the next step and then recognized the 5 sensors system with the 5 dashes!
    IMG_5818f.jpg IMG_5873f.jpg
After a long time trying to recognize the 5th sensor, it showed the 4 wheels properly and dashes for the spare.
    IMG_5875f.jpg

I then did a “Change Wheel Set” in the vehicle settings and the software eventually recognized all 5 sensors!

4Runner turned 4935 and had some nice weather to tackle the 5,000 maintenance a little early. Changed Oil and rotated tires. Checked Air Filter and it didn't look too bad so left alone. This was the 1st time I ever rotated tires on a vehicle and made note of a couple of things:
    1) Remove the center cap! Don't try to remove the lugnuts without removing this first or you will risk scraping it up.
    2) Torqued down to 79 lbs (I feel comfortable with this based on the debate between 76 and 83)
    3) Went against the manual and used a cross pattern (rear passenger to front passenger, front passenger to rear driver, rear driver to front driver, front driver to rear passenger).
    4) When I finally burn up the rubber on the OEM tires, I will replace all 5 now that I have matching rim and add a TPMS sensor... Hopefully get the dealer to program it in.

Yesterday went to hardware store to get spare propane bottle filled. I heard that the Home Depot/Wally World bottles aren't filled to the 20lbs. They told me when filling that the other ones are @ 15lbs because in summer monthe the heat up & vent off. Also it was $16.99 vs what ever they're getting @ HD/WW, I believe the last time @ HD is was $21.99. It's a little out of the way but just get to drive through back roads :D

The front doors are beefy. The rears are thin and light like most modern vehicles.

I usually hit the local Tractor Supply or Ace Hardware and have mine refilled. That way I don't feel like I have to let it run out so I'm not wasting money.

I have had 2 sets of these on my 4Runners. Tyger side steps. Not sliders but my opinion look and work great. Help prevent door dings. Price reasonable and don’t rust. They have bed liner finish. IMG_5638.jpg

He will be posting online how he thought the 4Runner was the worst handling until he bought the Camry. (We all know neither is true)
Alignment would have taken care of his handling issues.

Did you do a test drive before making the purchase? If you did it wasn’t long enough to make a reasonable decision, obviously!
The mistake is on you, not the T4R.

    See ya!
