I've used Touchup direct on my last three vehicles, to cover up paint chips/rock chips. I used it on my 4Runner not long after I bought it (a small rock hit my hood). When I washed my truck today, I remembered that I touched it up, but I couldn't find it! It's that good.

 

I just went outside to take a pic to show everyone and I too couldn't find the spot I touched up!

You win on gas, it's $3.29 here, $2.66 8 miles from me in Missouri. We have the second highest real estate taxes , New Jersey is higher. We have a 2 story house, all brick with a walk out basement, our 2024 taxes were $19,863.

 

I just got done getting an alignment after I took her to pepboys last week and got told upper ball joints were blown out(one year old) shocks were blown (one year old) and inner and outer tie rods were bad. Say what u want about rough country but all I had to do was call them and told them my shocks had leaked oil and the send me two brand new ones. Inspected ball joints and they were both good. Inner tie rods had 0 play but replaced them anyways. Outer tie rods were fortune bad. Cost me about $350 to do it myself including having to buy the "specialty" tools and alignment. Pepboys had quoted me $1500. Said it would take 4 hours in their shop. Took me about 3 using jackstands.

 

Washed it after a 570 mile road trip to see our son in college for his birthday! The weather in Texas today was amazing!!!

 

Washed mine twice yesterday and again today. Drove to San Antonio Wednesday in drizzle and fog. It was filthy like never before. Cleaned all the windows and wiped the interior down.

I got my hook off of EBay, $40. Do you have a pick and pull neer you? The hook on the left fits the right also, there are literally 1000's of 4runners in salvage yards.

Clean out the two threaded holes in the frame with a thread chaser before driving the bolts in.
