How happy with those are you? I've been tempted by them several times.

I could take ‘em or leave ‘em. I like the red. Makes me feel all tactical.

how did you determine the aim? is the mounting pretty sturdy (did you have to readjust after some road or trail miles? trying to think of adjustability if needed.

I’d love to only pay $3/gal. I just paid $4.79/gal a couple of days ago (California). And that’s with 20¢ discount per gallon.

Just not Nevada, please! Nothing to see here...and all the gas comes from California so it is way too costly also!

The SS5 Stealth mounting kit is very heavy duty. I can stand on that cross brace without it taking a permanent bend as it's made from roughly 1/4" thick steel. I believe this is so that any lights mounted to it won't vibrate when the rig is being subjected to harsh bumps. Here's a slight closer in look at how it is installed. Two vertical 'posts' bolt directly to the crashbar support and up top to the two radiator support braces. The crossbar then bolts to those 'posts'. Lots of adjustability up/down and left/right for lights of many different sizes.

    SS5closeup.jpg

Aiming of the SS5's (I have the 'Combo' lens type) was easily accomplished by setting the center 'spot' just at grade around 50 yards out...pretty much just below level on a garage wall at 25'.
    combowall.jpg combostreet.jpg

Pitch (up/down tilt) is done by loosening four SHCS, yaw (side-to-side) by a single center bolt at the base of the SS5's 'U' mounting bracket.
    SS5Adjust.jpg ss5bracket.jpg

Despite the second to last image which shows my SS5's mounted to the new bumper's provisions, all of these adjustment fasteners are (to me) easily reachable by removing the Radiator Support Cover. It took me just one for time to get the lights adjusted the way I wanted when I had them originally installed behind the grill.

Some fun in the snow here today. It’s truly cold AF here at Ice Station Zebra. After lots of BFG KO’s and Duratracs, I’m officially a Toyo OC AT3 fanboi. Best winter tires in terms of traction I personally have ever experienced.

Took advantage of the day off today to install phone holders for now. I will be installing HAM radio head unit to the mount as well. We were able to install this without unplugging the head unit which was nice. As I didn't want to have to reprogram everything back into it when finished. After I got it all installed I looked down and forgot to reinstall the four 10mm bolts, doh. So I had to take half apart to put them back in place.

Added a heads up display unit to my 2015 Limited (OBD port). Works great. In case you install one— First time I shut the engine down, my dash cam and radio stayed on. For power, I had used a USB port on the back of a cigarette lighter plug that powers my dash cam. I switched the HUD USB plug into a dedicated USB port on the dash and it solved the problem—when I shut the engine down everything switched off.

If you can change a tire, you can change the rear shocks. Literally 2 bolts (lower) and two nuts (upper).

Do those work with both the heat and the blind-spot system?

Blind spot system as in the alarm/notification symbol? No clue

have a 16 ORP…just know the heat will work if I ever use it

Main objective was to try out integrated blind spots, let alone any blind spot, for the first time

I DO KNOW that there is another model number that is NOT heat accommodating

    side note:
Goto eBay…buy from Japan…pay bout 50-60…OEM…enjoy the tracking

it’ll take a couple weeks, no biggiesmalls

If there's a set that works with both the heat and the blind spot system, I'd love to have them, no doubt.

Will you post a pic of the back of those when you get time to start the project? Thanks!

I recently installed some as well, and it does take some getting used to but so far I'm happy with them.

I wasn't aware there were different options, I ordered the same part number that I think I've seen posted here so hopefully mine have the heating function as well.

These are the back of my stock mirrors. The RAV4 mirrors were exactly the same, that is, a single two pronged connection. I'm in a '19 so I don't know how the bsm works into it but that is what you will get.

    Got it. Thank you.

I'd love to have the convex addition, but I don't want to lose the BSM indicators.

Yeah I didn’t either. When I was selling my ‘21 I took them off to put in my ‘24 not knowing they wouldn’t work. Wound up selling them in here. I’ve gotten a little more used to the little lights on the mirror but it definitely took a while. The RAV mirrors were so much better than the OEM with nothing.

I like the little lights, but I do miss better downward visibility when backing. (Yeah, I know... that's what the camera is for.)

For me it was changing lanes on the freeway. In Texas there’s only 2 speeds, and one of those is stopped.
