    ^^^^

Do those work with both the heat and the blind-spot system?

Blind spot system as in the alarm/notification symbol? No clue

have a 16 ORP…just know the heat will work if I ever use it

Main objective was to try out integrated blind spots, let alone any blind spot, for the first time

I DO KNOW that there is another model number that is NOT heat accommodating

    side note:
Goto eBay…buy from Japan…pay bout 50-60…OEM…enjoy the tracking

it’ll take a couple weeks, no biggiesmalls

If there's a set that works with both the heat and the blind spot system, I'd love to have them, no doubt.

Will you post a pic of the back of those when you get time to start the project? Thanks!

    To be quite honest
I’m betting I’m gonna be a lil thrown with the extra vision…I’ve never drove with this “function” before

I recently installed some as well, and it does take some getting used to but so far I'm happy with them.

I wasn't aware there were different options, I ordered the same part number that I think I've seen posted here so hopefully mine have the heating function as well.

These are the back of my stock mirrors. The RAV4 mirrors were exactly the same, that is, a single two pronged connection. I'm in a '19 so I don't know how the bsm works into it but that is what you will get.

    Got it. Thank you.

I'd love to have the convex addition, but I don't want to lose the BSM indicators.

Yeah I didn’t either. When I was selling my ‘21 I took them off to put in my ‘24 not knowing they wouldn’t work. Wound up selling them in here. I’ve gotten a little more used to the little lights on the mirror but it definitely took a while. The RAV mirrors were so much better than the OEM with nothing.

I like the little lights, but I do miss better downward visibility when backing. (Yeah, I know... that's what the camera is for.)

For me it was changing lanes on the freeway. In Texas there’s only 2 speeds, and one of those is stopped.

I actually prefer the RAV4 mirrors to the warning lights. The RAV4 mirrors never lie. The warning lights might lie sometime.

upload_2025-1-20_21-11-11.png upload_2025-1-20_21-13-35.pngFollowed this link to spray paint blackout emblems so it's not black on black. https://trail4runner.com/2019/03/13/change-emblems-to-custom-color-4runner/ and result is great. Front Toyota is same but looks darker in the shadow vs back in sunlight. Put up a WILDROAD roof rack from Amazon. Perfect fit behind sunroof and looks great. Installed on top of cross bars. Black silicon caulking at all the joints and a can of Rustoleum clear top coat and it's good to go. Super quiet.

    Actually, yes. It’s definitely smoother.

I’m surprised at how soft the rooftop metal is. It has flex. My 99 4R doesn’t flex like that.

It's been a little bit longer and I say cornering is more level and it's a touch firmer over pavement. You might want to shell out extra for the 5100's if you want to keep the option to lift later though.

Jury's out on whether I should do the rear yet, one shock is weeping a bit back there but I already have rear shocks on my SO's HR-V on my to-do list for now.

Wanting the downward visibility is why I went Spotter Mirror instead of RAV4 mirrors. They don't have plastic trim around their edges like the mirror that comes off, but there is a BSM light option for extra.

So you’ll notice that white receptacle sitting in the middle of mirror housing…mine came off with the mirror when swapping
Make sure to reattach to the HOUSING…popping it onto new mirror n then trying to install doesn’t really fly…just pop it back in n then add new mirrors
(This is obviously only if your white plastic thing comes out with mirrors)IMG_5858.png
    Secondly
I installed with new nitrile gloves on
Bad pic, doesn’t justify…but if you zoom in you will see smudging n maybe a lil “discoloration-oxidizer-marble” effect
Tried alcohol n windex…read bout coatings
But I never touched the glass!
What gives? How to maybe correct?
    Maybe the weather?
    They were perfectly clean beforeIMG_5859.jpg
    Side note:
This will mosdef take getting used to n it was super easy to do

first pic came from this video

after I chopping exhaust I talked about figuring out a solid way to relocate the hitch trailer plug for clearance (since I’ve never used it).

bolted to top of spare tire cross member with stainless hardware & locknut.

I want to purchase replacement recovery hitch next, maybe 80%offroad brand, and consider removing the factory tie down hook (painted bronze).

What’s nice is I can bolt on the factory hitch receiver, and trailer plug when needed.
