    I could never get the noise to stop on the lowest setting of crawl control. Maybe I didn't give it enough time but thought the truck was going to break. Moving it between low and medium worked well.

    It won't stop when CC is active. The truck is perfectly fine and it is supposed to make those God awful noises.

    Cleaning the throttle body is also a good idea. They get surprisingly filthy.

    I got these recently and tried to install them. It turns out the holes for the bolts that hold the seat to the new piece had the coating inside and the bolt would not screw in. I wondered over to my neighbor who had the exact tap needed to clean up the mess. Once accomplished, the bolts went in as needed. So if you order any of these..make sure the bolts will go in before undoing the bolts and leaving you with a disabled vehicle til you put it all back together. If everything bolts up, install time is maybe a half hour. You do need to loosen up the rear bolts so you can slide the new pieces underneath the front mounting point.

    I drove it today for about 40 minutes and it did feel a much better on my 6'3" torso. YMMV. So for me, seat jackers are a good mod for under $25.

    No mods are needed, it's just a pain in the ass lol. Not nearly as easy as it is on non-limited 4Runners. There are some helpful YouTube videos. They actually first were installed on my third gen Tacoma and I was also able to install it on the 4Runner with the same mounting brackets.

    Time will tell but so far I agree with you, if for no other reason than having the full-time four-wheel drive. Besides two all-wheel drive vehicles the vast majority of my vehicles have always been part-time four-wheel drive and man do I sure like all four wheels being driven all the time.

    I miss the handbrake in my Tacoma both because it worked so well and because it allowed me to really get some sliding shenanigans going but I can and have done donuts with the full time four-wheel drive so no I don't miss them :D

    I bet it happened not on snow / ice right? I thought I won't break mine doing this on snow/ice with both traction & stability off since the tires allow to slip freely. Maybe I should stop it.
