My experience with the wildpeaks is they get louder over time. They almost sound like a mud tire on the highway and are a bitch to balance. Leaving me looking for new rubber again. They have plenty of tread just to loud. I hear great things about the Mickey T's, have seen some crazy weight listed on some of the online tire sources.

I've heard the Mickey's are quieter, too. Stock size they are 2 lbs lighter than the Wildpeaks, 44 vs 46 lbs.

We might try the Cooper st Maxx next time. My Tacoma buddy has been really happy with his. Sounds like the KO3's are taking a ton of weight to balance just like the KO2's did

Installed new cabin filter and changed out my TRD oiled engine filter for a Wix filter. Noticed there was a gap around the filter housing with both the TRD filter and Wix filter, so I think this is normal but I would prefer the two halves of the filter housing to fit snugly together.

    Max’s aren’t 3pms rated though… snowy conditions, but yes… hella good tire!

Not too bad. Took about half day (4hrs) with the snaking and such. I am not that electricaly inclined but after 20+ years of DIY I am handy enough to figure stuff out and not break it. I am sure more skilled could get it done faster, plus I did all my adapter wiring day before in the house.

I purchased the LOC cable adapter, 17ft extension and amp kits from crutchfield. More money but just simplified the whole process. I ended up having to mount amp under driver seat - it won’t fit behind dash of Sr5P. So snaked cable down and above pedals then under door panel; probably could have trimmed 5-7ft off that extension cabling. The amp power thru firewall tricky but fortunately I already went thru that with my raptor lights. TacoTunes YT vid very helpful. The amp’s autotune feature cool and helpful. I used to stream Bluetooth with headunit volume at 35-40ish and now my ears bleed at about 25, but bass and sound quality night and day!

Took advantage of the warm weather and gave the TuRD a much needed bath. Unfortunately still a bit to chilly for a full detail and coating.

I put in an Arkon tablet mount, glovebox organizer and AVS stick-on wind deflectors.

Also put in an order to get the front shocks replaced with Bilstein 4600's so that'll probably happen in the coming weeks.

I drove my 2024 Limited (I just got it last week, used but new to me, with only 1031 miles on it) down to Prescott, AZ to do some shopping. I big truck coming the other way kicked up a rock and put a rock chip in the pristine windshield. At least my truck's first damage is pretty minor and my insurance will cover fixing the rock chip...

Today I learned AVS and Weathertech hood deflectors are the same product. Good thing I ordered the cheaper AVS one...

I must have been incredibly lucky then, my 2013 made it 11 years with the original windshield with only one small rock chip that never spread.
