If you are looking for max brightness, I think the Tail as a Turn mod is a good solution for you: "https://www.diodedynamics.com/2014-2024-toyota-4runner-tail-as-turnr-module-backup-module-usdm.html"

I considered doing this (still on the fence at times), but I prefer having amber turn rear turn signals vs the red. There are youtube videos detailing the difference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixRhoT70P0s

If you are just interested in just replacing the bulbs, found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IG6Evd2L3vM
This is exactly how mine look now after the upgrade. I'm very curious why Diode Dynamics feels the need to mention they won't work on TRD Pro and TRD ORP on their website as mine are working great. Glad I rolled the dice as they have been working.

We usually give a month vacation for political posts but have been deleting your political posts without the vacation. Now vacation because it wasn't clear.

Swore I was done with the late night, 30° nonsense …installed new horns, built over the top wire harness which I need to attach to Rago surge mount when I lower bumper next

(Don’t mind the funny test leads)
Ended up hooking these up to a 20V drill battery for a test…tinnitus anyone?
    IMG_5613.jpg
That lights hook locking in place last night was like I won the lotteryIMG_5614.jpg
    Side note:
Didn’t do a before/after…always think of that after, but it somewhat got Maurbles(major league) back so at least when an idiot on their phone is walking across a busy street with their head down I can say “I tried”

Looks great! What kind of primer and paint did you use? I've always tried my best to paint/prep things and they never seem to last. Also, curious on the spray tools you used or if you rattle canned it.

    Thank you!

My oldest son is home from college so I installed a Fumoto valve and changed the oil his 4Runner, air filter, and engine coolant. I then changed the engine coolant in my 4Runner and replaced the burned out fog light bulbs. That cover on the passenger side fog light is a real PITA!

When I swapped out to LED's on my 2018 that side & didn't have to remove fender well cover, just reached up & swapped out. Granted took a little pain management but I've had worst working on Rotor wings.

I took the beast to the wash today at lunchtime. It was a beautiful day despite the breeze -- a good day to wash off last weekend's gunk.

    Two hour later... rain. Ugh.

Drove 300 miles in and around the city . I had forgotten how slow, under powered and noisy this thing is.
But that magic carpet ride is probably the best this side of the S class. It soaks every road imperfection with ablomp.

Shout out to whichever one of you handsome devils or devil-ettes that had this idea for the spare battery location (until needed). Long story short, we stalled on getting the refrigerator long enough that the dog crate took most of its space so we don't need the extra battery until we do a little redesign. Excellent use of space for a small tool kit etc.

Also installed the ark splash guards

I considered this down the road after paint takes a beating. What’s a ballpark price for this work? Less than or greater than 5k?

Had this beast installed earlier this week, can’t wait to use it on the trail.

Next I’m wanting to get yellow or amber fog lights. Seems like Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro gets a lot of good reviews. Anyone have these and have any input, pros, cons or regrets? Are the Pro version legal? Is there a better Amber colored fog light?

All coats complete and stowed and “cooking” in a nice warm closet…. I decided to add 2 coats of truck bed-liner on the outer rails to add some grip. Will be installing tomorrow evening… on shift

I think it’s an unwritten rule that when you work from home for the day it’s acceptable to work on the truck for 1 hour

I have the pros in yellow. They're fantastic. They're SAE compliant but there's a LOT of light scatter and I wouldn't use them in traffic. I treat them as I would a high beam. They light up tree tops 30 feet in the air. The cutoff is obvious but there's a lot of light above the cutoff, as well.

They're a great supplement to the low beams on dark country roads, lighting up the ditches. A lot wider beam pattern than stock.

In bad weather conditions (snow, fog) run them like a typical fog light. In normal conditions, treat them as you would a high beam (ie. turn them off when traffic approaches).
