What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

I do not work from home but do have a company car so my 2022 ORP does not get driven much. Had it going on 3 years and just turned 10K.

Whoa Nelly Deli is freaking amazing. I always make it a point to visit when I'm on the east side.

 

I went with the Husky X-act Contours for the 1st and 2nd row. I had Weathertech's in my Tacoma and they lasted for over 10 years without any major issues. My only minor gripe was the hard plastic. If you have kids or passengers that step on them in a way to curl them they wouldn't go fully back to their original shape. The Husky's X-act Countours are pliable and resist that issue.

 

Have these in the garage for the Taco and 4R. How was the install?

 

I thought so too. I saw a few '2 years of use' reviews and was shocked at how well it held up. Not saying it's tougher than Husky or Weathertech, just that after 2 years the videos I saw showed little to no wear and they cleaned up nice.

 

@kmeeg What size tires do you have on the Limited?

 

285/70R17 on TRD Offroad wheels

Thanks for the tips guys! I'll be driving through next May and always like to stop and try some of the local eats.

 

Breakfasts are good but the Fish Tacos are bomb there. Coffee’ good too!

On the way down there’s a small coffee shop in Walker (Walker Coffee Company), good espresso and simple cafe treats. I usually gas up around the Gardnerville area…there’s also a Chevron in Topaz.

 

Making covers for the SS5s and cable guide/covers for the roof/windshield cable routing.

 

Wow, that's some excellent coverage. Hell, those things probably even dampen road noise just a bit!

 

Really straight-forward, a second pair of hands really help. I am very happy with the whole set up. Good luck

Drove the 4R out to our outdoor gun range this morning and this dinosaur was sunning himself down by bay 6. About 9 feet.

 

Good thing you were at the gun range....

 

Not too much done today. Upgraded the 3rd brake light to the new Morimoto one from 4Runnerlifestyle. And put a Mr. Grinch on rear ladder to go with the Christmas Lights. Try not to laugh too much at Mr. Grinch. It's not perfect.

 

You're gonna kick him in the nutsack if you use that ladder.

Teeth, too.

 

Does this brake light blink 3 times upon pressing the pedal when you engage it?

 

He deserves it! ( Mr. Grinch that is!)

 

Time to go back to stock.

 

Why’s that?

 

Had to disassemble them to remove them, top nut is rusted solid. Took me 30 minutes per side. Been on the truck less then 3 years (one of them it was parked in the garage) and anti seize was used. Going to soak them, but not worth the hassle.

 

Went back to stock on all four at almost a year exactly. Over-priced garbage trinkets with high risk of destroying your front CV boots. Live and learn.

 

Geez. Ok good call. I was looking at these but now it looks like ditching the sway bar is much safer haha

 

Added some Predator Tube Steps…..

 

Took my seat covers off for the first time in bout 7 years n added “seat jackers” plus some sheep skin
Ill get to that later

QUICK HELP QUESTION

I’m finally upgrading my winch wiring n my query is bout length…

Now ideally-
Is it better/more important for the wires between the battery n control box to be shorter?
Or control box to winch?

Determines which side of the truck I mount the box

really appreciate it

Going with shorter to battery, the increase in length to control box is minimal
