What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

With swords like that, solving financial issues should've been easy*

I can attest. Read through the stuff there. Bought the Phillips H9's made in Germany and swapped out my stock H11's. It made a huge difference in my light output. Its ridiculous. I opted to go with the Phillips because in his testing they had the best light output, even over high performance H11's, and they were cheaper than some of those.

Meso Customs got back to me. Their button fix for the tundra and tacoma kinda works for a 2021 ORP. By unpinning and switching wires around the volume now works up and down as it should however the seek buttons are reversed. Right goes back and left goes to next track. Guna leave it like this for the time being and hopefully they get a 4runner solution. Last two pics are the plug to the steering wheel buttons.

Also installed a voltage booster from VoltageBoosterPro to charge the yellow top at the right voltage. The DC Power alternator was charging at 14.11. It is now at 14.61.

Using this one as it retains a fuse. I have this other one from HKB Electronics in Australia. Looks like a modified small fuse. It does not appear to retain the fuse so I'm just going to hang on to it in case I need it. You can see it in the third pic.

 

How is the quality on those? They look a bit rough in photos?

 

i hope antiseize was used during the install.

nah no antisieze. Nothing is stainless. Had not issues taking them off after 25k miles.

Ordered some stainless bolts for the ones I have not yet replaced - ordered antisieze to go with those. But even that I dont think you need unless you're using stainless nuts.

 

its not just stainless fastners that can get locked up. I always rhink worst case scenario, a little goes a long way in saving future headaches.

 

You're absolutely right. Especially with the amount of corrosion on these after 25k miles and I'm here in a part of California that doesn't get snow or much rain.

....I just had stainless on the brain.

Quality is fine. They are purposely textured. Fit is perfect and it even comes with a little tool to remove the stock chrome ones.

 

Just (finally) turned 10,000 miles today.

 

nice! I turned 42,000 last night. Time to rotate the tires. Lol!

I put these TRD Pro’s on my Limited today. Think it turned out good.

 

drove the wife and I in the 4R from the boonies, to downtown Vancouver, in an epic rainstorm. left the kiddos with grandma so we can enjoy ourselves for 24 hours, staying at the Sheraton Wall Center Hotel. got to self-park the runner in their high ceiling truck area

 

Correct! The field should always be facing forward. Military uniforms, vehicles and aircraft all display the flag this way. It looks backwards because you’re use to seeing if statically hung from a wall or window.

 

Where did you get that carbon fiber surround for the instrument cluster?

 

Installed the N2 designs remote start in my wife’s 4runner today. Next step is to vacuum her car.

 

Got the new Falken Rubitrek 265/70/17 tires installed today. They look great and so far ride smooth and pretty quiet. Very happy with the purchase price as well.

 

Drove the 2011 to the Granddaughter and Grandsons baseball games today.

Just an FYI the FitCamx will support a Micro SD up to 256. You aren't limited to the 64gig that comes with the dash cam.

 

Upgraded interior lights with VLED. The set didn’t come with license plate lights, but was not a problem as I am keeping the vanity lights halogen anyway. Used the extra LED for license!

 

Well I'm out guys. I lost my 4runner, along with alot of other stuff in a Nasty divorce. My time on here was fun while it lasted. I'm now driving a outback(boring). I think my next vechile will be a gx460 or 3rd gen tacoma, maybe a 2nd gen tundra.

 

Drove the SR5P to the gun club. 500rds later, guns cleaned, can cleaned.....sittin down to rest my trigger finger!

 

Completed 2nd oil change. 3193 miles. Installed the metal oil filter housing while I was at it.
