Did you drop the transmission pan or just drain and fill?

Drain & fill. Didn’t feel the need to drop the pan with only 70k on it.

I got it Thursday afternoon and took a quick trip with the wife. Drove about ~280 miles and didn’t need to fill up. Lots of hills, some traffic, speeding up to 85, and I carry a lot of extra weight.

For me the trippy part was how smooth the shifting.
Again, just after about 2 days though.

I had to look this up originally myself
I think it flashes the ecu, essentially

So first time buying chemical guys tire shine last night, today we put the kiddos for a nap, I pull up the 4R to hand wash on my tiny driveway made for ants, rip n buy a pack of bud light - maybe first time ever (I think playdixie told me they’re one of his favorites)…
and the damn hose connector blows up in my face 1 minute into rinsing the truck.

I’m using the sliders to eat chips&salsa instead. That was my last hose.

Well, at least you had snacks! :)

I washed mine this afternoon, with some Chemical Guys Honeydew foam stuff. It came out well, but I still have some water spots on the roof despite my efforts to rinse well. Grr. Nothing like a good hand washing to help a fella find the rock chips. Also grr.

I also got the AVS Aeroskin installed.

TRD cold air intake. Mostly because it cleans up the engine bay and looks cool, but it gives the engine a little bit of an intake growl driving around town. BAM Wholesale comes through again! I ordered the wrong filters, so I’m just running the original air filter for now. I used the MAF extension wire so I didn’t have to mess with the wiring harness.

Installed the CaliRaised cat shield. Two washers short, replacing a 14mm bolt with 9/16’s, and the rubber grommet doesn’t line up where it is supposed to. Other than that, not bad.

What will you do with them? I've been tempted to have mine wrapped in black or a dark gray, but I'm not sure whether that's the right way to go.

64mech: the fang lights look good. Did those come from AJC, or someone else? Happy with them?

I got the fang lights from 4runnerlifestyle.com. I am happy with them, although in hindsight I wish I would have got the triple light version. Nothing wrong with these though. I just think the triple would look better.

Trailer connector relocate, tint, work lights.
Thank you. I've been looking at those.
Having a new 4Runner brings WAY too many opportunities to spend money, haha!

No kidding! I got a feeling I’ll end up spending more on upgrades than I did buying the damn thing! Funny thing I’ve never been one to modify a vehicle, but there is so much cool stuff available for this rig!

I’d rather lick the south end of a north bound mule than drink bud light!

I bought the factory black ones during that 25% off sale that Toyota had a couple of weeks ago . It was actually 35% off because my dealer had them discounted 10% already.
Just waiting for cooler weather to put them on .

Doesn't taste horrible, but is essentially beer flavored water. Like Coors Light.
Of course there is then all the silly "social" bs attached to it which is in my view lame and not helpful.
To each his own and you could likely drink a case of it before the alcohol cause you to make a mistake working on the truck.
