In this low-wage economy it takes ZERO effort to spend $100 on food. Just about fell out shopping last week. Didn't buy anything unusual and the grocery bill was $208...for TWO PEOPLE. I've watched my grocery bill steadily climb over the last three years. Used to be my husband and I could shop and the bill was consistently $125-$130/week. Then it jumped to $150-$160/week. Then for awhile it was hovering at $180. Last week, the $208 just about floored me.

 

I adjusted my parking brake using the same procedure as you did. The driver’s side took about 10 clicks to lock the rotor and the passenger’s side took about 16 clicks. I backed off 6 clicks and the parking brake is working great – finally! No inside adjustment necessary for me.

 

This is a fantastic idea. I was hoping to use the 4x rewards on gift cards every Friday. Learned the hard way, I bought a $300 visa gift card thinking I would get 1200 points. The next day I still had zero. Contacted customer service, this is a big no-no, you cannot buy a gift card that doesn't have a specific dollar amount and cannot buy the Kroger gift cards either. I will have to give this a go now. Glad to hear this works for you and thank you.

 

Welcome. Over the past three months I only buy groceries on Friday. With inflation being what it is, it's easy to drop $150 on a few minor things. But that $150 will get me $600 worth of points, that's 60 cents off a gallon of gas. Thankfully Kroger keeps a running tally for me. Last month I earned 1,996 points. I can take them all at once if I want or in staggered amounts. But the max I get off at one time is limited to $1.00 (plus the additional 25 cents).

Before you hit them up again make sure you clip the digital coupon via their app. That's how I max out my savings.

I did the math earlier and I should save roughly $500 -600 per year in gas. That is money I can use for my NEXT mod!

 

That's awesome! Thank you again. I have a family of 5 so we spend on average $300 a week on groceries. Matter of fact, I better go to the grocery today instead of waiting until Sunday.....

 

My first "fill up" (slightly above 1/2 tank) was around 8 gallons and $28 at $3.02/gallon. There was no crying today.

 

I used to fill up at Kroger using points, but recently, I came across a discussion on this (or another motorcycle forum) about Kroger not selling top-tier gas. I noticed that Kroger isn't listed as a top-tier fuel provider. Because of this, I’ve stopped using it in my wife’s BMW and my 4Runner. I’m not saying Kroger’s gas is bad, and if I find out it’s top-tier, I might start using it again. But for now, I’m sticking with my local QT.

 

Not doinf it today but tommorow. DT is gonna Road Force my tires. $15each.

Swapped the big lights for a bar, it mostly works on the multi light Gobi but the wind deflector could be a little taller. Next up gonna downsize the solar panel.

I'm not knocking your thought process/decision, but I've been using Kroger gas for years. I've never had any issues with Kroger gas. Though my local Kroger gas station employee(s) always seem questionable.

Always a trade-off I guess.

I've never had any issues either, but lately, Kroger gas even with the 3 cents I get off per gallon is the same as the QT a mile away. Every once in a while we get 10 cents off but never anything more.

 

Did an oil change last week. I can’t get the Toyota app to work right anymore. Had to go on my computer and login to add the service to my history

 

Coors cost a lot damned more. That Molson and Labatt is the cheap stuff lol.

How much travel time on a ferry? My claustrophobia and anxiety would be tipping the scale being packed in there like a pack of sardines.

 

I'm a Coors light drinker In-fact I just popped my 1st one for tonight. Waiting for my wife to bring pizza home to go W/it!! Grass cut, rain forecast for the weekend may finally R&R oils/filter on the HD. Get it Insp. & hopefully sell it or trade for a loss for a New Honda CBR1000RR!

 

Great detailed information. I need to do the Kroger Mastercard to get the additional .25 per gallon.
And I like to use the big $1.00 savings on filling up my 38 gallon F-150. On a regular fillup I use the Shell station down the street because they are typically $.20 per gallon cheaper, and they always give me the Kroger $.10 per gallon.

 

What made you decide to ditch the big lights? I ask because they looked SO COOL.

 

I will tow my cargo converted off-road trailer. In addition I have more already added to it, skid plates, covert bumper, winch. Then comes in gear, equipment and so on. Also, oem radiator is kind of weak. I have seen a comment here, bout how one of the users of the csf radiator was not happy about it. It leaked. We will see. If it fails, I will get the koyorad one.

What is cool about this radiator that it has a transmission cooler built in it. At the bottom. I dont think it would work as well as the separate one, but time will tell. I am about to post some more pics of more components.

 

Lol! Two ferries, less than 3 hours. Two hours driving. Made it tit he air bnb down a gravel road. 3 cars, three groups of strangers, shared kitchen and living

 

What's the weight of your trailer empty? I tow an old military trailer and so far I haven't noticed any abnormal engine or tranny temps. That's with 3 people, dog and fridge in the truck and with the trailer loaded with gear coming in at around 950lbs.

I have used scan gauge tool. Every time you put more weight on your vehicle or tow something, temperatures in your transmission increase. I wanna take good care of my tranny.
