In anticipation of my '24 ORP arriving in a couple weeks hopefully, removed some parts to return the '21 ORP to pretty much stock. Skid plates, mud-flaps, sliders, roof rails and a couple other small things.

Then touched up the sliders with spray-on bedliner and bought new bolts for mounting.


Re-sprayed my '10-'13 trail roof rails with black trim paint to freshen them up.


And macgyvered a spray extension to fit onto Fluid Film cans to spray the inside of the frame of the new truck.

Just finished a 4k mile road trip. This sleeping arrangement did me fine despite the 7-passenger slope.



Any recommendations for a camp pillow, inflatable maybe? The woobie in a stuff sack works but then I'm down a woobie.

It's not exactly luxury, but it's what I use for backpacking.

What a nice guy

 

I installed this a few months ago and had nothing but issues with it.

 

I read somewhere about some issues. Part of why I only replaced the button and let the head unit change the function. No issues here

 

I bought 2 feet of 3/8 rubber hose for the A/C extension to get the moisture off the frame. I used this to hook the two together. Taking the right front wheel off seemed like the only way to accomplish this. I fished a wire tie through the frame to lock it down. Will have to see if more trimming is needed once I reinstall the tire and wheel. Since I have it off, I'm headed to Discount Tire to have them (took the right rear off too) spin balanced on swap front to rear. Gotta keep it rolling smooth. Anytime I pull a wheel, seems like it takes a half hour to fish all the extra rocks out of the tread. But I want smooth rolling tire and figure this helps.

Oh man, I'm sorry you went to that much trouble. It might not be obvious, but if you can just reach over the tire and undo one clip on the splash guard. On the other hand, I don't think locking it down with the wire like you did would be easy with the tire on.

 

Exactly. Just one top clip gives you access to the drain pipe. And actually turning the wheel inward gives you access to the entire frame area.

 

Finished(ish) a project I started in February Now just need to wire everything up...
