What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

There are kits built for the 4Runner that have instructions but they are a bit pricey. I think they run between $150-250.

 

Thank you very much for sharing what you did. Most likely I will go that route unless I find more quiet muffler that fits 4runner.

 

Camping tips! Summer time is super hot obviously, and theres tornado weather out there around May and June. Camping in the spring is beautiful with green and rich orange scenery! Canyon camping in the winter is freezing! Go prepared, but the sunrise is so worth it! Theres about 6k acres out there to explore!

 

Labor -

Attempt 1 - Toyota specialized exhaust shop denied to do this mod, meaning they only do OEM replacement with out modifications. "That's now how your 4Runner came with, so I don't want to be part of it."


Attempt 2 - Generic muffler shop - "Stop by and I'll take a look and see what I can do"​

^Shitty BFGoodrich Winter T/A that came with my 4R, had a nail in one of them that I plugged. I'm just running them until they wear down so I can replace them with something better, Falken AT4W or Duratrac RT.

Trail name in Pine Valley?

 

Put a cover on my brand spanking new 2024 4Runner while I clean up and wax my 06 Tacoma Pre-Runner TRD Off Road in preparation for sale.
Did a little research on Amazon for a few goodies for the 4Runner.

 

Did some spot updates on the WoolWax I had done Friday, prepped some bolt holes in the frame and ordered some bolts and washers.

 

Got the front windows and windshield tinted, also PPF on front end only.

 

No sorry. I removed the light and covered the actual lights as best I could leaving the chrome showing. I sprayed it with VHT tint spray, 1 light coat followed by 2 medium.

 

Should I trade the 23 TRD OR for an even swap of a Nissan Pro 4X?

I get that too. There are things kind of cheap no telescopic wheel, no auto down and up windows, no power rear window to name a few. Does have the naturally aspirated V6 I need a midsize pick-up and I don’t want a 4 cylinder turbo I had so many issues with my 17 Taco leaking timing cover, fuel pump, leaking rear diff, transmission issues, paint issues…..

 

Looked up and compared other oil catch can, some are pricy. The one you installed is a lot cheaper. Most of them are not carb compliant and that my state does emission testing. It is just as strict as CA. Is the one you installed from Amazon carb compliant? I submitted question to Amazon. They have not gotten back to me yet.

 

Replaced my busted headlight that I got from the Drop Zone at Texas Toyota Takeover 3.
Bought the replacement secondhand from a buddy for $200. It came from a TRD Pro with a few thousand miles. Still brand new.

Took a little less than an hour to swap the headlight.

 

no probably not but I’d take it off before a smog check. I still have the section of hose from the pcv to replace it.

 

Upgraded my DRL's to led. I made the required harness following what another member had posted a while ago. Worked perfectly. Used Diode Dynamics led's. I hated the yellowish color of the halogens because they didn't match the rest of the lights.

 

This looks good. Can you provide the Diode Dynamics's part number you used?
