Any follow-up on this? I have been hesitant on ordering the OEM black lugz because they look shorter? I am about to do 25K miles maintenance and figured if I am ordering filters, brake pads, might as well order the lugz!

I probably won't be doing mine until this weekend but if you look up that part number it fits pretty much everything, I also couldn't find any part number for a longer black lug nut and it seems others have already used them with no issues ... so I can pretty confidently say we should be good to go. But will be 100% after this weekend.

Yeah it was the first thing I noticed when we bought it, but also has been put down the list because the other stuff is more fun haha I will probably order them since I am ordering other items.

any REAL reason why you wouldn’t want to?
Not like cosmetically but more so function?

if they work, is there a downside to them being shorter such as accessing them, scratching wheel to access, yaddayaddayadda?
    Or just personal preference?

just curious if there is something I’m missing when/if I ever get new wheels let alone lugs haha

This is only for oem wheels as far as I know, as a lot of aftermarket rims may have a different seat. I'm assuming the tall boy, chrome lugs just have a lot of extra room in the tips of them like a condom haha. That being said the only reason to do this is cosmetic. There will be no other gain of any sort. They may be slightly more difficult to access but I imagine that will be negligible as well as the oem wheel is pretty open. So for me, no, there is no reason I wouldn't want to add them as they look way better (my opinion) and have no real downside.

Same as @wax poetic, purely cosmetic. My only hesitation with the shorter was someone else working on the rims. I have heard plenty of stories of installers scratching up rims/lugz or stripping them because they don't care, so I didn't know if the shorter ones would be more difficult/increase the chances of someone messing them up when needing to do tire rotation/balance.

Added Falken Rubitrek A/T (265/70r17). A lot of bang for the buck with these ($187/ea). I previouly ran them on a GX, and they have always balanced and ridden well.IMG_2973.jpg IMG_2974.jpg

Those look great and the price is fantastic. Im going to have a difficult time choosing between those and the Baja Boss AT in the fall.

I also run the Rubitreks, in stock size, and they are great especially for the money. Hopefully they don't jack the price up like every other "good" tire after the manufacturers realize they are popular.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.

I’ve driven pickup trucks for the past 10+ years… along with SUVs and sedans in our household.

I’ve never had a vehicle slaughter bugs quite like the ‘runner does. I’ve given up on having a clean windshield.

Yeah, I recently did a trailhead shuttle with my 4R and my buddy's FJ (my first time riding in one). It's a great vehicle, especially with the upgraded suspension, but it's a rolling billboard. It also has a lot less passenger/cargo capacity than the 4R.

That's why the grill mod was the best bang for the buck. Keeps them fuckers out of the radiator.

Tried out a cheap Amazon trd knock off shift knob. It's decent. More weight than the factory sr5 knob. Couple small plastic edges and seams not quite perfect but for $25 I figured it's worth a try. Im not in love with the red stitching, but can't seem to get away from that when it comes to Toyota stuff.

Are those Toyota TRD Pro wheels or aftermarket? I ask because I am digging those center caps. They look much better than the standard TRD Pro wheel center caps. If they are TRD Pro wheels, where did you get the center caps? Thanks.

They are FN wheels with center cap decal on it. I’m pretty sure. Had them on my 23 Pro but sold them to a friend.
