I changed my oil today. 10,156 miles. First time for me. The dealer changed it before I bought it with 5100 miles.
The clips at the front of the skid plate were a bitch.
The Motivx filter wrench didn't want to go on, and then locked onto the plastic cap. Didn't get it off until the cap was installed & torqued.
The Fumoto valve went on easy.
The Motivx funnel is a beautiful thing.
2 hours later, I was putting the oil change reminder on the door.
Pretty sure I can get this down to an hour.
Did not grease the drive shaft. Will do that Saturday.
Did not reset the maintenance reminder (I'll do that tomorrow morning, once I figure out how.)
Did not rotate the tires. Will also do that Saturday.

I'm pushing 72, have maintained my vehicles 99% of the time, and never done a more difficult oil change. I'm used to just knocking them out, not unbolting shit to get to shit. Definitely a learning experience.

Push the start button twice and toggle the odometer switch to Trip A.....push the start button once to turn off.....With the 4Runner off......push the trip odometer and hold in.....use the push button start and push twice to ignition on.....you'll see on the small screen your service engine resetting. Hold until reset then turn the 4Runner off.

Thanks BS, it seems simple enough.

    Forgot to say...
Motivx filter drain setup is outstanding. No mess.
My oil sample goes to Blackstone in the morning.

I love it! You need another 180 on the other side and then you can look like a cross between a TIE-fighter and a Storm Trooper. It's so awesome!

This is amazing work! Great pics of what you did. I need to get started on it too. And I need to figure out how to modify the setup a little to add a hinged door for where I have my Winch acccess. During wheeling Days I'll open the screen to have access to the clutch and controls. During normal driving the door will be closed to protect the radiator.

Installed the Shiftpower USA pedal controller I purchased from another member on this site and really like the difference it makes in throttle response. The additional theft deterrent of using the "lock" mode is also another nice touch. Really happy with this purchase!

I seriously must have gotten a different TRD Exhaust on my '23 Pro than anyone else. I drive on the highway with the volume at 7 or 8 and hear my music just fine, also have no issues having a conversation at the same 70-80mph.

Did the second oil change since purchase, cartridge filters are really dumb.

Found a good spot for an overpriced trash bag:

I'm starting to catch up after my 4-week, 6,000 mile road trip that included a couple hundred miles of dirt road and trails. Today I replaced all the wipers, cleaned bug remains off all the forward-facing surfaces, and thoroughly cleaned the undercarriage. Now there's half a pound of UT sand in my driveway. I also picked up an oil filter element, engine air filter, cabin air filter, a fresh tube of grease, and some touch-up paint.

Replaced the passenger side actuator exactly a year after I replaced the drivers side. That excellent Japanese Tahara plant quality is shining through.

Today I pulled and washed the all-weather floor mats, vacuumed the whole interior, and wiped down the whole interior twice with damp rags. It's going to take another round with some mild detergent to really get it clean.
