I wonder if the warranty is voided when the techs torque the god damn plastic filter housing down with an impact gun. What a bunch of f*** nuts!

My interior built height is from the porta-potty height. Thus, a shorter porta-potty would accommodate a lower build, saving money and weight from material. A lower build would also equal sitting room, which I currently have none. Would that toddler training potty support 170lbs?

    Thanks for sharing.

I am not a mechanic, nor do I know what I am speaking about. I installed both mounts so that I could only use one for the antenna. I installed both to keep the hood symmetrical and balanced left and right. 60k miles later, it seems to work well.

Otherwise, your installation looks great. Thanks for sharing.

The Sprint Booster does make driving a 4R a little more fun, though I do understand your concern about the 4R's warranty. I bought mine used and it still had 18,000 miles left on the warranty. One of the reasons I bought a 4R was for it's reliability. I had the attitude that the warranty is worthless. It wouldn't to be needed or used. The Sprint Booster was one of the 1st things I did.

FINALLY ordered Lasfit Floor Mats! Wife like "original" floor mats as she calls it ;) and I am usually all for OEM, but the coverage on 4R mats and vacuuming anything out of the cloth sucks *pun intended*. Now just to wait until April for them to ship :(

there's a part list of the TRD intake - if you purchase it all individually, it'll be cheaper.
thats what I did when I did it but that was back in 2017. mightve changed? wouldnt hurt to check. you'll see someone list out the parts and prices at that time.

It does not. Well at least for me anyway. I have had mine up for about a month now and I may honestly get rid of the shelf altogether. I was initially excited about the shelf because I had a few things planned to go up there. Unfortunately, whatever I put up there rattles around beyond belief. I have tried a few things but nothing prevents the annoying vibrational sounds making noises. I put
Definitely agree with you. I purchased these in a spur of the moment scenario. All of my other internal lights (map/dome/hatch) are Meso Custom and figured to why not change this. Plus, it was a good excuse for me to finally install my Morimoto side view mirror lights. Took about 30 minutes on my first one and then 10-15 minutes for the second one. Surprisingly, they do a great job and offer much more than the OEM item.

Mine came today. It has a washer with a flexible insert that I assume takes the place of the crush washer on the factory drain plug. Am I correct in assuming that I shouldn't also use a crush washer?

It seems unlikely you got "free" oil changes but paid for them in a package. I did that, with window tinting and the first 2 oil changes included. Don't recall the cost. In that case, since you paid for them, there isn't any warranty considerations.

I indeed got free oil changes baked into the deal on my 2016 Trail. I wouldn't buy the truck until we agreed on a deal. I didn't pay for these oil changes, I didn't buy any kind of package from them. I've never returned since lol

The 4runner pedal /throttle design was to mimmick more of older jeep/truck like feeling when off-roading and wheeling. Giving the extra travel when pressing the gas pedal. Provides more accuracy when wheeling for instance.

the Sprinter website wording implies the OEM throttle is slow. But times have changed. Lots of mall crawlers now.

I believe my first 3 were an incentive and free. I didn't buy anything extra other then the extended warranty. they added 2 more changes because my 4r came with 2 stone chips in hood.

Based on my recommendation, my daughter got a set of Oedro floor liners for her '23 TRD ORP. I think they're better than the OEM ones I have in my '23 Limited. Looks like the set for the front and rear passenger are on sale for $102...

Sorry for the delay, I'm at a school for the next ten days or so.

That's correct, use the washer that came with the Valvomax.

You've got me wondering... What is the flexible insert? I don't remember seeing or installing that.

Not related to your question, but something I had to look up when I installed mine- you need to take off the o-ring in order for a socket to fit over the adapter so you can torque it.

Here's a pic with the washer removed. The insert material is a rubber-like substance with some 3-D shape to it.

I was relieved that the O-ring came off, since I didn't want to guesstimate the torque.

I installed mine with the included washer. Almost 5k later and time for the next oil change.....no drips, not a one.

    Oooh look, another mod.....

$5.45 a Gallon? DAMN! The Kroger gas station near me is selling it for $3.39 (I think - It changes daily). But I got $1.25 off that price, thanks to my Kroger-food reward card. I remember the pump telling me it was $2.04 per gallon.

My tank was bone dry, so it took $41 to fill it up.

    $41!?
My tank always has about 25% fuel before I fill in and it still costs me around $49 to completely fill till auto shut kicks. This is at a Shell bunk.

Put CaliRaised sliders on last night. Did not enjoy it. Primarily because my powered ratchet has walked away, but also because the very last 2 bolt holes of the whole thing didn't align. By quite a bit too. I did not have the grinding burr to handle that easily either. So what I feel could have been an hour project took about 2-1/2. Putting on the step plates was manual as I didn't have an allen "socket" that size. Suggestion for CaliRaised: moving the bolts just a hair towards the center of the slider would allow for a typical socket to fit on the underside. I bet I'm not the only user who doesn't have metric allen sockets. (I suppose I should get some...) (Although I did not try my 1/4" drive sockets...maybe that would have fit.)

The sliders themselves are nice and low profile. Just enough for a step, so I'm not crawling up into the seat now, wearing out the edge. I would guess the angled ones might not be useful as a step and getting the optional step plate on an angled set is likely a waste.

Another suggestion for CaliRaised is the instructions. With "universal fit" kits like this, with KDSS or not and it fitting many model years, it took me a while to figure out why I had so many extra bolts. There was nothing documented to explain, that I found anyway. And the install video is not as clear as it could be. It was just enough to get me through it but I feel he missed some critical info, like "ignore these brackets and bolts if you don't have KDSS."
