It is the width too you know, not just the length. Can't beat 12.50 ;)

    Today was a day.

Did my first self oil change today since buying it used (dealer did one before we went on a trip), and man what a nightmare this was.
    • My torque wrench decided to quit working while I was installing a stahlbus valve, which only requires 18 fr-lb but got a solid pull in before realizing that the wrench wasn’t going to click. Looks fine, no leaks. Annoying.
    • The oil filter housing drain cap was out on so tight that I can’t get it off, it moves the housing. Getting more annoyed because I bought the motiv-x drain tool and was curious to see how well it worked.
    • I use a tarp-material bag we got when we got some beef from a cow we went in on, thinking I’d just loosen the housing and drop it and the remaining oil in and then dispose of it. There was a hole in the seam, and the remaining oil went all over the place without me noticing.

The rest went fine. I need a new torque wrench, and apparently a new oil filter housing.

    Cleanup pic for laughs:

I had a Tacoma before and never had these issues haha. One thing I miss, though, is the scceee panel the IFS skid I purchased had.

Can't tell you how amazing 4.88 feels. I'm out of the break-in. Now I'm pushing it. I'm pretty heavy, I have tons of skid plates and big tires and steel bumpers, but this thing just takes off.

In case you haven't decided on one yet, I recently purchased this one:

    https://etork.com/product/3-8-drive-torque-wrench-c2100/

I got the Clear View version since I have a bit of trouble reading the micrometer style (harbor freight) that I currently have. I'm happy with it except for the upper sheet that's printed with torque numbers. As you turn the dial, the paper (?) shifts a bit. In videos I've watched, I haven't seen it happen so perhaps I got a dud. Doesn't move enough to be a big deal, but seems like it should be glued down better.

I’ll check it out. I’m kind of disappointed if this one is indeed bad (feels like it, I checked it against a bolt on my home gym and no click with it set to 18#) because it’s a CDI, which is Snap-On.

Added a switch to my raptor lights. I used a relay even though it may have been a little over kill. Took a bit of time but worth it.

I ordered it from Amazon. I guess the company is actually called 4runrun.com. You can order it direct from them too. Love the look and function so far. Looks factory really.

edited: Apparently you can’t order it direct but they do have the specs/info on the switch on their site.

TRD Pro Grille/ Heritage install with raptor lights.

Connected the lights to the tail fuse per the instructions but may change them to something always on.

Bought the OEM TRD Pro Grille with bumper garnish. The bumper garnish does not fit a Limited with the radar, had to cut it to fit which is disappointing because it specifically says it would fit the 2021 Nightshade. It has about an half inch cut out for the radar, needs a lot more. Ordered it from BAM.

I figured it out though, happy with the look.

Did my first oil change today, as I just rolled across 1000 miles on the new 2024 4Runner. Pretty straightforward. I did have a sticky crush washer that didn't want to leave the oil pan, but a gentle whack with a hammer and a thin-bladed screw driver resolved that. Installed a Valvomax valve on the oil pan for future oil changes. Used OEM filter and Kirkland 0W-20 Synthetic. The used oil was a nice amber color, and I had some sparkly bits in the filter folds. Nothing that I didn't expect to see. Good to Go until we hit 5000.

I’m curious how to do this. I didn’t want to plug raptor lights straight into the fuse box so I bought a switch. But, I haven’t bothered on installing yet because I don’t know how.

I have a dash switch , a relay. All that effort wasted for these unreliable raptor lights. No, these are not cheap Amazon ones. Didn’t even last for an year even my 4Runner doesn't get driven much.

Sounds like you got the answer already. That video does a pretty good job explaining how to do it. Took me some time as I soldered and heat shrunk all the connections. Not hard, but took time to do. Sounds like these lights are cheap but the good news is, I can swap the lights out really easy. It’s just one wire going to the relay from the lights and of course, the ground. So either way, it’ll be wired and ready to go even if the lights are cheap.

No team, but I lead small bike events where sometimes I need to transport quite a few bikes. This will be a lot easier and more cost effective than organizing a driver and truck for a modest number of bikes.
