Ordered TRD Pro exhaust and CAI this week for my 22 TRD Sport. Go ahead and flame me if ya want, I did my research and know what I’m buying :) Curious if anyone has added the TRD Pro exhaust to a Limited/TRD Sport? LMK if anyone comes across this and has.

I might agree. Initially, I wanted to remove all the chrome/shininess components, and so did the wheels too. But now that Plasti Dip is off, the look might grow on me.

    More lights? Oooohhh...

I like the license plate ambers, there's probably a law against that here in California.

For now, going to see if the plain look grows on me.

As to the power-coating, the rock sliders are powder-coated and starting to fail from driving off pavement. Would that same failure not happen to the power-coated wheels?

While not regarding the wheels, which is your suggestion and I appreciate, attached is my experience with powder-coating on the rock sliders after ~20k-30k miles after installation. Again, not the wheels. The forum consensus was that while powder-coating looks good, it is not intended for components, like rock sliders, that will take a lot of beating from driving off pavement. https://www.4runners.com/threads/wh...h-gen-4runner-today.2261/page-689#post-369154

Now that I think of it, the wheels not being in that line of fire, for lack of a better description, might weather better. Thanks for the suggestion. I might consider after seeing how the bare look grows on me.

FWIW, I expect after I put sliders on, I'm going to be touching them up with Rustoleum or the equivalent at least a couple times per year.

If your dog sits in the front seat it can be harmed/killed by the airbag in an accident. My wife is a veterinarian (retired) and she treated many dogs that were hurt that way. If you love your dog put it in the rear area. FYI

I'm willing to bet, if your dog is ANYWHERE in your vehicle and you get in an accident, it will suffer harm.

    Oooh look, another mod.....
If you live in a non-rust belt state, coat them/touch them up once a year. If you live in a rust belt-ish state, do it two or three times per year. Otherwise they look like oxidized chunks of scary looking metal.

Wow! Is that a massive hill that just appears flat due to the camera wide-angle? Looks like gravity-caused to me. Elevation changes seem to disappear with most pictures, more so I imagine with dash cams. It can all go sideways in a second!

I've used the Arclight "fuse" and AGM for 2-3 years without issues. It works great. Another benefit is that it raises the voltage above the "smart alternator" thresholds used by DC-DC chargers (Redarc, CTEK, etc) such that you don't need to run a separate wire to the fusebox to trigger house battery charging when using one of these chargers.

Some folks have used bed liner paint, but Rustoleum is a good choice, too. Thanks for sharing.

2014 Neglected by the previous owners 2020 is an abused former rental... 2023 New I've been buying above my pay grade ☹️
I had mentioned it had a different color, "brown." A lot of the reviews also listed the color purchased as brown. Brown is out of stock right now, maybe it was a weird clearance thing or maybe somebody made a mistake, but keep an eye on it and look for the color brown option.

As time has gone on, it's a lot slower than plugging the phone in. I just wanted to go wireless.

Acetone evaporates pretty quickly and it was used to clear off the marring on the finish.

I was most impressed with the fact that the graphene coating is still pretty much there minus some of the gouging. Fortunately, I don't have to buff any paint down. I'm a big believer in leaving full thickness on and that is a big issue with these ceramic and graphene coating places, they want a good mechanical bond and they do that by grinding the top layer of clear coat.

Same goes for putting your feet on the dashboard. It didn't take some doctor to make me think about that, it's something about science and physics and physiology.

The sad thing is I saw an unrestrained dog in the back of a truck yesterday. People just don't think...

My new (to me) 4runner still has the factory tires on it. Picked up a brand new set of Yokohama G015s mounted on TRD wheels I found on craigslist. Scored a killer deal. Excited to put them on once my black lugs come in. IMG_8741.png

Good to hear. They weren't on my short list for new tire options, but after finding this deal I looked them up. Haven't seen anything negative about them. After I read the reviews, I couldn't pass up four new tires mounted to four new wheels for $1200.

What's the date code on the tires? If you got them secondhand, you'll be able to tell how old or new they are.

I have them same ones and they haven't fallen out on me in the few months I've had them. Must admit though, the storage space is pretty small as they're pretty thick plastic, but sturdy.
