I took that the other day when I got my gauge cluster changed over to white backlighting. I had used the kit from to do my HVAC, but didn’t feel comfortable soldering on my cluster circuit board, so I had him do it for me. (There’s no kit to do the cluster, you have to source the tiny LEDs yourself. I bought some from Amazon before deciding not to DIY, so if anybody wants to try it, let me know and I’ll make you a deal. There are videos on YT on how to do it.)

I’ve seen pictures before and thought, “Yeah, it looks better than the orange, but is it that big a deal?“ Well, now seeing it in person, it really is an amazing difference and not just at night.

I also had him change the airbag light on the HVAC over to white so that everything matches. That’s not included in the HVAC kit because it’s a tiny LED that has to be soldered. Also, now the off and on lights for the passenger airbag are red and green respectively.

The triangles can’t be changed, and I left a few things on the cluster such as the needles & four-wheel-drive symbols in the original orange. Those can be changed, but I don’t mind that color and to me, it’s kind of a homage to be original.

When I changed mine to blue I bought red LEDs, I went back and forth between red and blue for about a week and decided blue. While I did all of mine myself it was a time consuming process. I really like the blue and even during they day the gauges still have blue back lighting.

Did some heavy offroading over the weekend. Crawled under to check my new Asfir aluminum skid. All good there but this is the driver’s side where the axle meets the diff. The diff seal? Doesn’t look like axle grease.
