Blacked out, Ironman 3" Nitro Gas Suspension lift, JBA High Caster upper control arms, Differential drop and sway bar relocate, Upgraded to Sport Front Cardone Calipers with Brembo Rotors and Akebono Pads, Added Spoiler, Sony XAV-AX100 with Apple Carplay, USB Jack, Backup Camera, Black TRD Pro Wheels with General Grabber ATX 265/70/17, Rear differential vent extension, Auto Dimming Mirror with Compass and Homelink, Map Light Mod, Tekonsha 90160 Trailer Brake Controller, Recoil SL1708 Sub, Sealight LED Headlamps, K&N drop in air filter, Weathertech floor mats, Homemade rear storage compartment with built in pull out table.
Well it wasn't today but about a week ago I got my new tires put on. I went with General Grabber ATX's in 265/70/17. Still on the factory wheels for now. Hopefully in a few months I'll be getting TRD Pro wheels (black). I went with the Generals because they were rated #2 out of 29 all terrain tires on Tirerack.... and because I have a friend who works at the Continental tire plant who got me 40% off. I had just found out that Generals are made by Continental. They retail for almost $700 before taxes and I paid $437 taxes included. As far as the tires go I love them. When I had them put on they had a pretty bad vibration at about 60 mph but I took them back and they rebalanced them. I think they road forced at least two of them. Now they ride great, smooth and quiet. Not quite as smooth and quiet as the Geolander street tires that came off, but close. They only negative I have found is if I don't drive it every day they get flat spotted a little bit and the first mile or so down the road is kinda bumpy. Then they smooth right out. And they look great on the runner. No rubbing either.

Took the RTT off the Tundra and put it on the MP Cruiser for the first time. Love the look of the Gobi but holy hell putting a RTT on it is a pain in the arse.

After looking at some of these posts, it is evident I am such a newb. Over the last couple of days I have done the following to my 2007 SR5: changed oil/filter (Mobil 1 Gold Cap), new iridium Denso plugs, new wiper blades, replaced front pads/rotors, and installed new roof rack end caps. I'm not much into mods. To me, it's all about preventative maintenance. I bought it new and it now has 170K miles. I still love this vehicle. I look forward to taking it to 300K and beyond. I have friends asking when I'm gonna get a new car. Why? This one runs just as good as the day I bought it.

Due to the new tire/rim setup I got a BMC chop from The Truck Shop in San Diego, also modded the TPMS.

Now time to test out the new setup on some trails.

In the last two weeks I have had the following done: timing belt, water pump, belt tensioners, power steering pump, new radiator, serpentine belt, JBA upper control arms, and a Dobinsons 1/4" spacer to get the front up to 3" of total lift. Just turned over 237,000 miles.

How did you mount your fogs? Looking to do the same.

Removed the factory fogs, drilled a hole in the bottom of the stock location and bolted down the Squadrons.

Not much, installing interior LEDs, hope to do dash as well. Sony Apple CarPlay head unit.
Unhooked the battery to see if the rear hatch would open. It did, but now it won't again. Everything else works.

Sounds like the switch has a short, keeping it latched.

I am still looking for a 2nd vehicle. Is there anything to steer clear of between say 2003 to 2010 4runner ? Just not real happy with my 2021 Tacoma. Thanks

Had to replace the thermostat/thermostat housing (one unit) yesterday. Had developed a leak around the housing - turns out the gasket had gone bad. Not a bad job overall.

My sliders arrive tomorrow, gotta prep the garage for scuffing with scotch brittle, wipe down with denatured alcohol, add a coat of POR 15 then paint and hopefully install on Sunday!

Sliders installed, they are treated but I will have to repaint them in the springtime. I tried some cheap brand rubberized undercoating and it is rubbing off too easy.:annoyed:
