Thank god for this 4Runner or I would be losing my mind. Took the rust out of the bumper and painted it. Fixed the fog lights. Going to have to replace the turn signal lights as well, sockets are basically brittle. Winch arrives today. I may be broke once this all blows over but at least I will still be sane lol.

Neither they are a brand the dealership is selling here locally. They have no brand lol not that I’ve found but I’ll look around. The are neoprene and fabric covered. I’ll see if I can find out who makes them for ya lol

Nice work. I also have the “clunk” on my “new” 04 Limited. Can you point me towards info on the cause and your solution? That would be awesome! Also just switched out my old pink taillights for those same ‘06s. So much happier with them

After 243k miles it was time to replace the valve cover gaskets. While I was there I decided to do some cleaning and painting.

Shiny new front passenger wheel bearing to replace the growling wobbly one that was on there.

I installed Rad Rubber Design engine splash guards. I really like them. They are so thick but flexible.

I found why my AC pump bolt was weird. Broke in half.
I’m engine swapping. 142k and the timing chain bombed.

Adapted a phone mount idea that Lawndart described on Instagram recently. Much more sturdy than the Scosche Magic Mount I was using; you can see the old mount on the dash still.

Finally got around to installing my Overland Equipped fuse block bracket with block, circuit breaker, etc. Had to chop up the leg a bit to clear the brake lines.

OMG mine stank so bad too. I went to visit my parents after having them just sitting in the back of my car for a few days and my mom asked if I'd taken up smoking.

Replaced both lower control arms. Converted Xreas to regular suspension using Bilstien shocks and FJ cruiser springs. Next is new fender liners and locking rear differential.

Blacked out, Ironman 3" Nitro Gas Suspension lift, JBA High Caster upper control arms, Differential drop and sway bar relocate, Upgraded to Sport Front Cardone Calipers with Brembo Rotors and Akebono Pads, Added Spoiler, Sony XAV-AX100 with Apple Carplay, USB Jack, Backup Camera, Black TRD Pro Wheels with General Grabber ATX 265/70/17, Rear differential vent extension, Auto Dimming Mirror with Compass and Homelink, Map Light Mod, Tekonsha 90160 Trailer Brake Controller, Recoil SL1708 Sub, Sealight LED Headlamps, K&N drop in air filter, Weathertech floor mats, Homemade rear storage compartment with built in pull out table.
Well it wasn't today but about a week ago I got my new tires put on. I went with General Grabber ATX's in 265/70/17. Still on the factory wheels for now. Hopefully in a few months I'll be getting TRD Pro wheels (black). I went with the Generals because they were rated #2 out of 29 all terrain tires on Tirerack.... and because I have a friend who works at the Continental tire plant who got me 40% off. I had just found out that Generals are made by Continental. They retail for almost $700 before taxes and I paid $437 taxes included. As far as the tires go I love them. When I had them put on they had a pretty bad vibration at about 60 mph but I took them back and they rebalanced them. I think they road forced at least two of them. Now they ride great, smooth and quiet. Not quite as smooth and quiet as the Geolander street tires that came off, but close. They only negative I have found is if I don't drive it every day they get flat spotted a little bit and the first mile or so down the road is kinda bumpy. Then they smooth right out. And they look great on the runner. No rubbing either.
