Yes, it is a IGRFE. From 2005 to 2009 4runners 4x4 has an A750F AISIN transmission and the 4X2 has an A750E regardles it is paired with the V8 4.7 Engine or the V6 4.0 Engine. Only difference between these transmission is the tail housing, all of the internals are the same.

IMG_20190913_132504670.jpg Today I've been working on the correction of the timing chain cover oil leak. Had to stop for today due to a missing "pulley holder tool" to take out the front pulley. So far I have: taken out fan, water outlet, belt tensioner, belt rollers, oil filter base, valve covers.

Got a little dirty after some rain in San Diego

Also recently added 6000k LED driving lights, 3000k LED fog lights and LED ceiling, doors, and license plate lights (package of interior lights from Amazon) I think it was only like $15 but it was well worth it

Slightly less than $200. Local auto glass chain here runs a promo every so often which I decided to take this time because my old windshield was difficult to see through in the afternoon sun.

Well done. Did the oil leak get fixed?
I did my water pump, thermostat and radiator earlier this year, but you got in way deeper than me. Props man!

@Libagui hell yeah! Nice job. I worry about timing cover leak in the future because its a know problem of 4th gens. Fortunately rare, but will need help should it happen.

DIY just saved you several thousand dollars.

Guess it's time for an update. Again- thanks all (past and present) for the write ups. This thing is a BLAST.

    Quick re-cap:
    Mom's 2007 - 44,000mi v6 2wd is now the Farm TuRD.
    *new plugs
    *new fluids where needed.
*New radio and speakers. Kenwood HD, and DB Drive 6x9s, 6.5s.
*Sound deadening in doors (Wrap guy added some while door panels were off)
    *tint all around.
*Plastidip all chrome to Matte Black - including Rims
    *New Smoked Headlight Assemblies
*New complete KMPF Tundra Satin wrap. Same color as the new "SAND" but in Satin finish.
    *debadged all around.
*added more stickers for increase in HP.

Have taken it on a couple 500 mi trips for work and works great and love the XM ability now too.

@brownersd - Here they are installed. I might take you up on those mats too - soon.

I have a 2005 SR5 with 150,000 miles. The tranny fluid was changed by dealer (5 quarts of the 13 quarts) at 100,000 miles, in what Toyota calls a service. New filter.

Shifts fine, but should I drain 4 quarts of TF and replace with 4 quarts of OEM TF again - 50,000 miles later?

Not going to change or open up to check the filter.

Seems like such an easy service to do yourself.

Replaced the rusted gas tank straps and turned an old one into several barback bottle openers.

@POOLGUY they are rough cut on my first attempt but they certainly do work. And they match the rat rod tool box I made this weekend.

I like making something out of leftover materials. You could add a hole to hang them up, so you have a bottle opener near by when you need one.

Ordered a replacement window scraper for the front driver's window. Noticed mine was coming apart the other day. I also need to replace the gasket that runs around the liftgate opening, the bottom is all cracked and broken from years of people dragging stuff over it. Anyone know what that part is called?

JDog. thanks. Yes, loving it so far. Even got a guy with the Sand color ask me how I did it? (About 4 months of research)

No, he only did the "visible when everything shut". he did wrap Around the corners and did a very nice job. as for Jambs, the original color was the Sand Mica? (boring tan) so it really is a close but not exact match.
I dont know about washing, havent tried yet!
Because you cant see the Dirt!!! <-- absolute reason why I love this color and satin finish!

Ordered a Victory4x4 roof rack and mid skid plate. The OG owner of my 4Runner bent the mid skid pretty good and I can't get it back straight enough to get the 4th bolt back in so it rattles quite loudly on bumpy roads.
