Whoa. Nice looking restoration. An oldy but goody. And the perfect year. Just before the "heavy" emissions were forced on the manufacturers.

 

Thanks! I was a glutton for punishment in that I sourced and added the missing CA emissions equipment during restoration. This one sold new in Encinitas, CA and like the 1/2t pickups (and all Suburbans) the additional emissions equipment was mandated.

Corolla passed inspection and emissions. Good for two years on smog now, inspections are yearly.

 

I believe that's the nicest looking 70's vintage Corolla I've seen. Congrats.

Update as I sold the x5m and Rx350

 

I’m looking at a Mint condition 2001 GSXR 750, that just turned 20k miles.

 

With possible engine work, like a cam or something.

 

It runs quiet I put a baffle in the muffler.

 

The guy that bought it new commuted suicide.

 

I worked in Michigan for 3 months. With that bought my ZX 9R, then “lightened “ up a bit with the 750.

I can't remember if I posted this or not but I got rid of my E46 and picked this up in October. 09 WRX hatch. Bought it bone stock and i've slowly been throwing parts at it. Right now it makes about 350 hp to the wheels and is incredibly fun to drive.

 

My DD is a 23 Model 3. My fiance is a stay at home mom and uses the 4R to pick our son up from school and that's pretty much it lol. My goal is to keep that thing for 20 years. In 8 months we have only put 4200 miles on it. The Tesla on the other hand has 19,000 in just over a year lol
