What do you have still waiting to be installed?

Been looking at gmrs radios for a long time. You got pics? Or rather which radio did you go with.

 

Sure. It’s the Midland MXT575. 50 watts. I’ve seen some nifty installations of the MXT275 in the center cubby, but the 575 is a little bigger and I’d really have to shoehorn it in there and I worry about heat. So here’s the plan:

• The radio will go under the driver’s seat, mounted on a stand-off so it doesn’t touch the carpet. There’s plenty of room underneath with the seat in any position.
• The antenna will be mounted at the lower corner of the windshield on the driver's side on a CaliRaised ditch light bracket.
• Power will be drawn from the wires feeding the 12v outlet in the center cubby using PosiTaps.
• While the center console is pulled apart I’ll run a cat5 cable from the radio to the area of the switch blank to the right of the steering wheel The switch blank will be replaced by an RJ-45 pass through, where the handset will be plugged in.

 

That's a really good looking radio. I've been using hand held's with my friends. Like peasants. And then we gotta worry about batteries. I'm very jealous.

 

I have a bunch of RCI armor that is sitting in the garage waiting for the new 4Runner to arrive.

Picked them up in the fall and decided to hold off on putting them on until after winter. Want to give the frame a good cleaning in the spring beforehand.

 

I’ve got a Harbor Freight Apache rifle case in my garage waiting for me to mount in my roof rack. I’ll need a little extra dry storage for a trip out west this summer….

RCI rear diff skid, I still have to get that at some point. At least the rest of the stuff isn’t too difficult to install.

 

Just bought a like-new set of Apex Overland Front Recovery Points w/ KDSS. Been watching for a good cash sale through the community, and it finally came. Gotta remove bumper, and drill out frame.

 

Waiting for snow to be done here, but so far:
* front license plate mount
* Accessorides remote starter
* Miller cat shield
* H9 headlight bulbs

Well, my new suspension is sitting at R4T in Denver waiting for my appointment on 3/27. Unfortunately I can't get up there any sooner to have it installed. I'm doing a 2 1/2 to 3" lift on Elka's with the SPC adjustable UCA. They will also be doing a slight bumper cut so I can fit 33's on it. I have new rims on order with TPMS's coming soon and I'll need to pick up the tires I want between now and the 27th. I'm also going to have them do the ARB Diff breathers since they will have it up on the lift it will be easier for them to do it.

I have waiting...and waiting....because I want to do it myself with the help of some pros...
Breaks, durobumps, ARB breather, panhard correction bracket, and a 50K lube/grease maintenance check all around. Hopefully this weekend...

 

This was the first thing I put on. I have had it on and off a few time now, it’s actually not bad. If you are creative with angles, you don’t have to disconnect the sway bar. Tightening the small nuts where the drive shaft neck connects to the beefy piece is probably the most annoying part.

Finish the dual battery install (mount is in, just nothing else)
Install the Dana 60 front and 70 rear..... If I decide to go that route hahahahahhaha kidding...kinda....

 

Added Alpharex MK2 Nova headlights to the mix. I’m off next week but it’s raining for most of it.

 

Wow, with all the new posts I’m feeling less guilty about waiting to install. Maybe I should order more parts, lol. Picking up a an additional TPMS sensor for the spare tire (which will be part of the rotation).

 

I’ve been paranoid about theft now that I’ve raised it, just ordered mine from RCI and read diff guard.

 

You need to set them per the TRA charts.

 

Did they just rename the Nova G2 to MK2 this week? I ordered the Nova G2 last week and now this week its called MK2. Odd.

 

I remember seeing the G2 somewhere since I was eyes these for a while.
