With most things you will mount, you can simply lift the notched side of the crossbars to install your hardware. With a RTT that is a little more difficult, so you have two other options. You can use RTT mounting brackets (there are lots of options) that raise the tent up from the crossbars. You can also do what I did quickly before a long trip and remove the factory rails with the crossbars attached, mount that to the tent and then place it back on the roof.

I would! But would prefer the front light cut out to be without the company logo and completely open.

They are now live on the site!

    4Runner Front Winch Bumper | Blitz | 5th Gen (14+) - Victory 4x4
    4Runner Front Winch Bumper | Blitz w/Tube | 5th Gen (14+) - Victory 4x4

The aluminum version with or without tube will be the exact same design as the steel version, the bull bar will look the same. The only difference will be in the material (1/4" aluminum with 1" thick shackle tabs as opposed to the 3/4" tabs on steel).

The mounting, recovery points, winch plate, and all three faces are tied together allowing for plenty of strength for winching/recovery.

Use coupon code FIVE for 5% off!

You may need to drill to add the RTT mounts, they are designed for the full rack, but they will add about 1" above the rail and the mounting location is moved outside (to the left and right) of the rail, so you have about an inch above the rail, down to the roof.

How much higher off the roof does the rack sit vs the cross bars that you guys make?

I'm not sure of the exact difference between the two. The crossbars for the stock rails are almost flush with the top of the stock rails, our roof rack only sits about 2.5" higher than the highest point of the roof.

We don't have an official number, Toyota only seems to have a load rating for the stock rails & crossbars (about 120lbs if I remember correctly). Our crossbars and rack are much stronger. The main thing is to be wise with what you have bouncing around on the roof of the vehicle, especially while wheeling. It's more than sufficient for the gear people usually run, RTT, recovery gear, storage boxes, fuel cans, etc...

I'm loving the design and may possibly purchase one. However, just a recommendation, any possibility of having a footstep hole on the rear side quarter panel area? Just thought about it so that we can use the side to load equipment on the roof (put one feet in the footstep hole while the other feet on the rear tire). Also, maybe a side bracket to put a flag pole, antenna, or pole to hold a washer bag to shower. Maybe another option is to extend the side to put in some kind of awning rear bracket. Again, these are just an idea to make your rear bumper more versatility compare to the other vendors.

    done some stuff to it
Someone asked about light duty skids. Tough (and/or expensive) to get light plus strong.
Plastics are good against punctures and scrapes but they flex easily so you could still damage parts behind the skid.
Matching the coefficient of thermal expansion is tricky as well when you start mounting plastic on metal. UHMWPE for example is about 10x that of steel if I remember correctly. Means you could fab a perfect part in winter and in summer none of the bolt holes would line up.

I reinforced stock skids with 1/8" flat bar pieces in key spots and made UHMWPE skins. Specifically made them on a day with mild temperature and oversized all mounting holes to allow for it to expand/contract. It's not as much protection as "real" skids but better than stock alone. And for front, mid, and gas tank it added less than 20lb total.

Anyway, an idea for you guys:
I like the way stock skid is wide such that it can deflect debris away from suspension. I've never seen aftermarket skids for 4R or Tacoma that are as wide as stock. Maybe make a bolt-on optional "splash shield" that would extend to the sides a bit more off of your standard skid.
