I planned to put button-head bolts in those, just to give the skid a more industrial look. I didn't end up keeping the skid, though.

I also thought about modifying the hole then using flat head socket cap screws so it blends in... but I'm whatever now. not gonna worry about it.

If you're interested in a used one, I'll sell mine. Had it on for roughly 2-3 months? I'm in So Ca.

I'd go with SEM trim black. That was an excellent paint for a set of Jeep bumpers I bought. I've also used this, though, and it works great also:

If you want something that’ll resemble powder coat, 2k raptor liner!

Question for those that have the CarTrimHome skid plate: Is the access door for the oil filter the same thickness as the rest of the skid? Like ~1/4 inch? Or is it thinner? Does it seem pretty robust?

If I recall, it's the same thickness as the entire skid plate.

edit: measured it and it is not the same thickness as the skid plate.

I ordered the car trim home skid plate and the bolts that came with it are rusting. Does anyone know what size thread and pitch they are? Possibly find something to replace them at the hardware store

I installed Fumoto so I can control the flow rate. But filter removal definitely leaves a mess.

Can confirm that the fumoto makes oil changes away and greatly reduces the mess.

The canister however is always a bit messy. But the rci skid plates access holes makes the job at much quicker

Hey guys,,,,, will this plate fit a 2024 TRD Off Road? If so about $$$. My 2004 Tundra TRD I HATED dropping the skid plate to change the filter. If I went to Crappy Lub 10 minute they would pop the filter from the top and say they rinsed out the drips from the skid pan..... get home and for days my oil drips on my driveway.
