Kdss is definitely a plus for on road behavior

You are a trd pro hater, very jealous one. Where did I state that the stock trd pro is better than modified orp??? I said look at the oem trd pro and oem trd pro. Can you read with comprehension? Or u r just so bitter that you have to believe that kdss is some kind off roading god system. Daily driver - oem trd orp, Off road only purpose - trd pro. I have it as my secondary overlanding vehicle. Go on, keep on hating on trd pros. Haters gonna hate....

Modified limited for extreme off roading is best overall if money is no object

Fair enough, if you want to run around in the desert, go Pro. But if you want to hang out with Jeeps, KDSS is the way. Slow comfy crawling around

This is a key point that seems to get missed. What's "best" is going to depend on what you want to do with it. For me, I still want something that can be used as a daily driver, decent MPG, reliability, and modest capability off road/winter snow covered roads. So as far as the things I do the Pro will do anything I need, and would stay stock.

Personally if I wanted an all out off-roader I'd get an old jeep to build. That would be fun, but no place to use such a thing around my area. You guys out west have a much bigger play ground!

I wrote a check to buy this truck. And spent $16,000 on mods. So yes I am so jealous of the Pro

leather is nice but I love softex when it comes to cleaning mud. I always had to be extra careful when I had leather seats on my Lexus.

Also you’re always driving through forests, just pick up some wood :D

Is this the only argument you think you have, that is valid? Most people who joined this site, can afford so much to modify their rigs paid cash on the spot. As for modifications, if 16 K is so much for you that you have to show off, then I feel sorry for you.

All I really want is a 4Runner with all the Pro features (mainly suspension and interior bits), KDSS, Limited cooled seats, and the full-time AWD case (preferably still with a manual lever). And while I'm asking for things I can't have, I'll also take the six-speed manual out of my old Tacoma and a Magnuson supercharger. And no roof rack or exhaust drone. Also I want a pony (and the Pony also has to have Fox suspension *and* KDSS).

I wouldn't have bought/buy a Pro if the discounts were significantly different.

One more example of you seeking admiration and trying to impress an online forum. Sorry we aren’t impressed by that massive display of wealth….

Since you’ve got the wealth, can you please buy a better camera or pay a photographer to teach you to use the one you have so you can post pictures that don’t look like they were taken with a 20 year old flip phone?

You state that you can grasp the concept, then immediately revert back to wheeling being the definition of best. I don’t even know how to respond to that but here you go:

KDSS is the ultimate off-roading system ever offered on a 4Runner and anything without it shouldn’t be called Pro.

I’ve also called Merriam-Webster and asked them to update pro to include ultimate off-road capability as the primary definition.

I truly hope these things will make you feel more secure in yourself and help you sleep better at night.

They do put it on 200 Series Land Cruisers and J120 onward Land Cruiser Prados, so there is that. But what does Toyota know, the probably don't expect Land Cruisers and Prados to go offroad or anything.

But Toyota doesn’t call those Pro. Oh the horror, Toyota refuses to equate KDSS with the word Pro.

Please everyone, call your congressional representatives and demand they force Toyota to follow the Yotaholic/FourBelugas mandate that KDSS must be recognized as the “Pro” version, and all current Pro owners must rescind their Pro badges immediately…

They will tell you those vehicles won't quite cut it because they don't have Fox shocks lol. TRD Pro is the biggest scam out there.

Actual Land Cruisers don't need any fancy marketing terms for people to want to buy it. I don't think you understand what makes LCs, well, LCs.

I personally don't care if Toyota called ORPs something like "SR5 +" or whatever. But a "Pro" missing a feature offered on LC and many 4Runners is, shall we say, interesting.

We all know without the TRD roofracks, Land Cruisers are basically minivans.

Turns out SolarOctane knows how to copy and paste from a Toyota brochure. Good for him.

KDSS on the LC200 crushed a disconnected Gladiator on the ramp, and fell short of a disconnected Bronco by a lil bit. KDSS is freakin legit.

If you didn't know this vehicle, and I told you that is a connected solid axle in the front, you probably would believe it. That's how legit Toyota's KDSS is.

You know, for a long time I was upset toyota didn't import cheaper trims of the 200 Land Cruiser here. But watching how many people are willing to fork over tens of thousands of dollars for an "off road" package that doesn't have one of Toyota's most functional off road package, I see Toyota's point, the public stateside will throw money at a "pro" trim so the company might as well squeeze as much off of them as possible while taking away important parts.

I wouldn't go as far as say the Pro package is a scam, but not even offering KDSS on it is...odd.

Marketing works. Toyota RAV4 TRD Offroad costs almost as much as an SR5 4Runner. And it's not even a hybrid.

I always opt for less shit to go wrong, didn't want one w/ KDSS. I can't think of one obstacle I've ever attempted and wished I had it. There's always a way around over or thru w/ a little spotting or rock stacking. When you have to pay to fix it, or decide to remove it or can't get the suspension you wanted b/c it's for Non KDSS, you'll wish you had your money back.

A one wheel drive mountain bike can also go off-road to places no KDSS Toyota or Jeep can dream of because they’re too big to fit. I guess my MTB is the ultimate off road vehicle…

It’s amazing how a high spec version of the next model down is almost the same price as a base model in a manufacturer’s lineup…..

it’s almost like that same craziness exists within every manufacturer’s lineup of cars, trucks and SUVs.

I think you’ve really figured something out here. Not sure how you’ve put it all together to unlock this discovery, but Bravo!!!:bowdown::bowdown:

You’re really hurt that they don’t call your model the best off-roader, aren’t you? I’ve never seen such marketing, and it sounds more like you’ve watched YouTube videos of “influencer” reviewers who have no clue and make every statement in hyperbole about every vehicle to generate clicks….

How about your marketing of the KO2 here for months as the best off-roading tire, telling everyone in every thread (tire related or otherwise) they need to buy it or be inferior off road…. Then you decide they aren’t any good in mud and you need KM3s which are now the best off-roading tire that everyone needs to buy according to you….
