    That’s the forward control arm mount to the frame. You can’treally see the lower shock mounts in his photos, they are tucked up tight right next to the rear tire.

    BTW, lower shock mounts hang low in lots of solid axle setups. They hang low in the 5th gen also, barely 6 inches or so off ground. They don’t get counted in published ground clearance numbers.
