I drove a 1958 edition Land Cruiser today. The local dealer has one that was sold but the deal fell through. They would kindly sell it to me for MSRP, $58K. It is, in every objective measure, better than my 4Runner, but I just don't know. That is a shit-ton of money for something that is unproven at this point.

OP there you go buddy. Here is a transport company a few friends used if interested. This is all inside covered transport and they do classic cars very top notch. As a frame of reference shipping from Detroit to Houston inside was about $1,800 this spring. Have the boys ship out to Oregon before the snow flies.

I think we all just want to see you happy again man. I’ve been there with a damaged vehicle I think many of us here have at one point in time . Yes it sucks, spending money unplanned and more than expected sucks.

But I am willing to bet if you pull the trigger on a new one you won’t look back in 6 mos and say gosh I should not have bought this 4Runner.

You could always trade in the 2024 4Runner on a Landcruiser but not the reverse. Worst case scenario you’re not going to lose much if any money on a 2024 4Runner in the near term.

No. It doesnt allow that option. But I kinda get a feel of the options based on price. Only found 2 ORP with no moonroof.

Gotcha yes that was what I was thinking with prices looking at SR5s this morning. I thought I’d try since I felt bad for our OP. Hopefully one of your finds works out for him.

Berge Toyota in Mesa, AZ has 6 new 4Runners for sale as of yesterday (when I got mine). I know they have at least a. Few with no moonroof- probably just SR5’s if you’re cool with that! Mostly silver/white. They have the most new stock left in the whole valley. Ernie and Oscar are great dudes there too. (Sales and customer service) Best of luck to you! I hope you find what you’re looking for!

You can find what you want if you’re willing to buy from an individual. Facebook marketplace and a willingness to travel.

Sadly any 5th gen with a sunroof combined with the seat being in the lowest position still results in my head pressing into the ceiling. I’m 6’ 1” so not abnormally tall but of course different people have their height in different places.

If I did fit, there’s a non-trivial chance I’d have an older Limited model but alas.

To me the 1958 LC seems the most appealing of the options. Though it is unproven. I have a 2024 SR5P with no sunroof that I love with 13K. But, I do find the LC interesting and may test drive one for a friend who is in the market this week. I've driven our SR5P back and forth cross country on interstates and, I don't love it on the highway. It's okay but not totally in its element. Around town it's near perfect.

Those are all gone except for a couple that they have $7,000 of "accessories" on.

I have sunroof and never experienced this issue. We’re about the same height. Have you thought about a new hairstyle? :D Or just open the sunroof all the time. You have all the headroom you need.

Yah they add the tires and lifts and other most desired goodies to a lot of them. Sorry man, was hoping I could help! Looks like they’re selling fast!

Gen5 inventory has pretty much dried up. Dealers won’t be giving Pro’s away b/c we may not see a Gen6 Pro until well into 2025.

It’s all good news for Gen5 residuals, so if you can still work a deal on a new one don’t hesitate. But, it certainly seems like all Toyota dealers have to sell right now are miles & miles of cheap Tacomas being dumped here from Mexico.

A dealer not too far from me (in WV) claims to have an SR5 in stock -- Underground / Sand Beige. DM for details, if you'd like.

Hi sorry to hear. Saddening. I got rear ended and totaled the 2013 SR5 i loved very much. But the beast saved my life and i got a certified low milage 2018 and im happy. Community here was awesome and now its got new rims, tires, rail and rack so it eases the pain. Geico screwed me on the value tho - jerks. Take care and if u have any doubt get another 4runner if u can.

Guy in Kansas has one. No sunroof, but no KDSS. Deal breaker for me is that it is black. No way am I paying sticker price plus shipping for a black truck. He was really nice. It will be gone by the time I get this all sorted anyways.

It is official, she is totaled. Initial value assessment seems pretty fair to me but I’ve got a bit of research to do. Such a bummer and bad timing. Luckily I have a reliable, nice vehicle to drive so I’m not over a barrel and needing to make a rash decision.

The different color interior actually sounds intriguing but I couldn’t do a black vehicle. I am far too lazy.

About 4 weeks ago when I was frantically searching for my new ORP, Toyota.com's inventory locator was showing about 300 new/available ORPs within a 500 mile radius of me. Based on my many dealer inquiries, I'd estimate that at least 1/3 of those were actually already spoken for. Today the same search yields 70 results (down from 300).

To the OP: I very strongly considered a new GX OT, but after looking one over at dealer I simply could not deal with all the technology. It was digital overload, completely intrusive, and video game like.....which is exactly why I had to sell my almost brand new Raptor and was thrilled to get back in 4R. As a side note, I never considered the new LR because of the hybrid power train.

Edited my previous post -- it's Underground on the outside, rather than black.
    That was my fumble-fingered mistake.

When I first saw this thread I searched within a 250 mile radius and there is not a single 2024 4Runner in any trim for sale. All gone.
