Recall is for both Toyota Tundra and Lexus LX600 gas only engine. Even though one is made in USA and other made in Japan. But the engine failures happen on both gas and hybrid engines.

Though the recall is for 22/23 , the engine failures happen on 24/25 Tundra as well.

Though the recall doesn't include GX550, it uses the same engine (V35A-FTS) with detuned/ less hp. Still give the same torque..

Why I said as a customer it's very advisable to purchase extended warranty.

    Interesting.
Where have you seen engine failures for 24 and 25? Links or anything like that ? Are you speculating or have actual data on that, because I'd be interested in reading it.

NHTSA is a good place. Here's an example from 2025.

Interesting. That in itself doesn't mean there are still widespread recalls and manufacturing issues if it's a very singular or sporadic thing.but i appreciate the heads up and will keep an eye out.

    56 out of
56 out of the 144k Tundras sold in 2024 is so minuscule man, even more minuscule when most of those complaints aren't engine related but again, thank you so so so so much for your continued help. I'll run right out and buy as much of an extended warranty in case of them.0003% chance I get an engine failure at 8k miles that a warranty would cover anyway.
