As you can probably tell, I haven't done a run in quite a while. I've been itching to get out, but every time I try to go, something comes up. In the middle of a move so I am busy.

Today I decided to head out on my own to a place nearby my folks house while I was house/dog sitting for them.

    Azusa Canyon SVRA:

I've never been here before even though it is about 20 minutes from my folks house. No clue why.

Admission is 8 bucks which is kind of a bust. I had a feeling it was going to be crowded, but with minimal recovery gear and all by myself, I was okay with that.

The trails criss cross the San Gabriel River so there are a few crossings that were pretty fun. One was way deeper than I expected but nothing bad.

There is not much to see, rocky sand terrain. A couple cool spots.

The reservoir is after the 3rd water crossing. It makes a really disgusting mud pit that people find really fun to get stuck in. Apparently it is normally deeper of a mud pit. I can't imagine haha.

There was a guy in a Honda CR-V that was hauling ass through the mud. No clue how it didn't break. I watched it go through the pit at 35+ for about an hour before I decided to head home. Although the trail wasn't super exciting, I did get to hit some speed in the sandy sections and the water crossings were fun. The best part is parking and sitting in the back of the truck watching others wreck their shit. I'd do it again.

U are exactly right. The best part of Azusa or, as we called it back in the day, "Abusa", is sittin back and watching noobs and other assorted idiots completely destroy their shit. It much tamer now than it used to be. image.jpgimage.jpg

Some new Trip Reports since I'm lazy.

    Azusa Canyon SVRA (08/27/2016)

Headed back to Azusa Canyon but this time with some friends, @MADSTEEZE, @lesterb315, and @1truckdriver.

First water crossing was pretty deep again. I am wanting a snorkel now.

TW Buddy flew around a bit.

Found a few offshoots that were interesting.

After getting to the main mud hole, we helped change a tire on a jeep who broke a bead.

I had to head out early since I was flying out to Europe, but @lesterb315 and @MADSTEEZE stuck around a bit.

    Sparks, NV (09/20/2016)

I made the long haul up to visit the good folks at @Relentless. I've been planning this trip with them ever since I got my rear bumper order put in many months ago. Luckily, they sent me pics of their prototype Stingray Front Bumper for the 4Runner and were able to whip me one up while I was in Europe. Rig got quite a makeover in 1 day. Front and rear.

Showing up to this in the shop was like waking up on Christmas!

Not bad! My bumper is slightly tweaked from the time I hit a tree so I have a minor gap on one side of the steel but it is not very noticeable.

Next up was the rear. I didn't take any photos of this install, but the results speak for themselves.

    And some twinning shots:

Eric is a great Fabricator and I trust him 100% cutting up the rig. At first I was uneasy about someone else cutting up the truck, but after watching the front bumper install, it's obvious he knows very well what he is doing. Couldn't be happier with @RelentlessFab quality and the awesome people that work there.

All photo cred for the good ones goes to @Black_Sheep

The discount codes for my new front bumper are active on @Relentless website as well.

    Thanks man!

The catback and intake were put on by the previous owner. I personally am not convinced either give much power.

Diff breather is a relocate kit. The factory kit is too low and will take in water
