True... I usually go for base models anyway, especially if I'm gonna modify it myself. Why get a TT FJ when you can get a base, lift it, get new wheels and tires, and color match the roof for less than that TT package costs

besides FJs, most models arent prewired for everything I personally would want. You get what you pay for and buying base never works out when upgrading.

Got backed into by ONTRAC shipping company van. Which ive been fighting with for MONTHS with all my Amazon Prime shipping issues, all have been with ONTRAC. I guess this was their payback. No damage though.

I drove 45 miles to go pick up flooring samples for a customer of mine because the rep "was stuck" and couldnt deliver as promised. I get 43 miles and she calls and cancels says she "no longer has time to meet up, ill bring them tomorrow to you."

What would you need that's prewired and can't be replaced with aftermarket?

Haha yup depending on volume mines perfect. Low can barely hear it. Medium adds tone and if I crank the volume it sounds amazing.

LMAO! Top gear has an off road episode tonight... Rutledge is driving the 2014 TT ultimate FJ. And he's talking about how he got serial number "one of 2,500". Each TT ultimate says "one of 2,500" lol

Each one has 1/2500? I don't think that's right. They have serial's yes.

Nope! I drooled over one at my local Toyota dealer, saw the "one of 2,500" plate, had my truck appraised, and then saw online there were tons of people saying "OMG I just bought number 1 of 2,500!!!"

I know! I almost traded for one... My buddy (my personal favorite Toyota salesman) was starting to get the paperwork lined up and I was googling number 1 of 2,500 while sitting in his office. Then a massive bomb got dropped on me.

But then I bought a new cabin air filter, so it all worked out

got a question for you guys. tell me if I'm an idiot or if this is genius, either way.

so ever since i installed the new HU, my reception of FM has gone all to hell, stations i got crystal clear are now all static, and the antenna is in the same place and is plugged in just the same, so i can't figure out what the issue could be.

heres my idea though, use a 3' firestik cb antenna couple with a multiplexor (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HPH23LA/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_10?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2Q49PGT6CNRLQ) to act as an AM/FM antenna, and then later on when i do add a CB i can just hook it right in.

would this improve the signal? make it worse? no different?
