Autozone, and it was not the bearing after all it. It WAS the caliper grinding the rotor, as @LTDSC had said.

Oh, and Alex, when you do your manu swap, are you gonna mod the transfercase to a twinstick setup?

I'm asking because when I add some muscle to the front end, I'm thinking about using Wyatt's method, over at RST, to convert an FJ T-case to twin stick, and use that. I'm just concerned about compatibility with the 4spd. Logically, it should work, because '03-'09 V6's all use the same T-Case, and the FJ T-case fits the 5spd. So I would assume it would fit the 4spd as the 4R's tcase is the same between the two different transmissions. The only issue would be the adapter, I believe.

I might swap to a twin Marlin case. Not sure. Definitely would like to keep my electronic t-case but I don't know how it would work for engaging 4lo and such. I love my AWD t-case though!

It is ass but it's convenient haha

i love that this dude is telling everyone how you can't own a 4r if you don't wheel it. Glad my dad has 240k of highway miles on his. Waste of time he did all that damn driving to work!

Sounds like a pride issue after he found out 90% of 4runner's are just grocery getters. Bet he would be supremely irate if he had a Raptor/Wrangler and lived in SoCal.

Mine just has problems disengaging :(

Everything engages just fine...nice and speedy but sometimes I could be sitting there for a few minutes watching the blinky lights waiting for everything to disengage

Sometimes it takes what feels like an hour, but the key to having them work, is to use them often.

I do the recommended 10+ miles a month in 4WD, and I will drive around walmart a few times in 4Lo to keep everything happy :)

    Use it or lose it!

I would hope I don't have to do that anytime soon

I use 4hi pretty much weekly on my commute just to see it work, 4lo I just activate occasionally to make sure it still kicks on

I have found the trick to disengaging the locker after off-road use though!

Sounds like you guys need to get out and wheel your rigs, on dirt, and have an excuse to put it in 4LO.

With your type of wheeling I understand. Come up around tahoe and I'll make you put it in 4LO.

Any other state getting these sustained 40-50mph winds. I'm over it already, it's been blowing for 3days. I don't even want to go out side let alone go have fun with this wind.
