Thanks guys. Also, rustoleum filler primer is awful. Rustoleum pro primer is better.

i might have maaco paint a new rear bumper for me. The parts come primed. all they need to do is spray. No chance of over spray

They really aren't that bad if you do the prep work first.

prep work isnt what im debating. Their paint quality and quality of painter is a joke. Not to mention all the ones ive seen has been full of dust in the paint and debris. I've see better rattle can jobs than Maaco. The fact people consider maaco as a paint opportunity makes me question life itself. Everyone's acceptable level of work is subjective but surely yours cant be THAT bad?

I had great quality from a single stage job they did on my Willys Wagon. I went over the whole thing while sealing the paint and didn't see any issue. Obviously they aren't my number one choice, nor do they rank in my top 10, but for what you pay vs what you get, it's not too terrible.

Now, would I let Maaco touch my 4Runner? Absolutely NOT! The only body shop that has and will touch my 4Runner is a Toyota body shop. They've done incredible work for me in the past, obviously. Plus they stand behind their work. If I notice something months after having it fixed, they set me up with a loaner and redo their work (had this happen with a ripple in my fender you could see in the sunlight from the correct angle after my accident.

There was some orange peel too, but they fixed that
