Back here in "Boston" for a seminar. Traffic was easy and its a beautiful day. Didn't take the 4runner though.

It's my mom's truck, which she plans on replacing with a new 4Runner soon. The thing wouldn't be such a bitch to drive if it wasn't so prone to going into "reduced engine power" mode. Sometimes you can go all day just fine, sometimes you hardly leave the house and it gives you fits. Can easily turn a quick trip to the store into a lengthy chore.

Limp mode. There's a reason for that lol get it repaired.
Sounds like you need to replace shocks and fox the sticking accelerator.

It did this with it's previous motor, but on top of the motor replacement it has had NUMEROUS parts replaced that should have cured its limp mode issue . I've worked on it for them several times replaced a couple of wiring harnesses, done a ton of work around the throttle body (where the issue commonly stems from) and even grounded a couple of bad grounds. I'm at a loss and I can't get through what issue it is. Even spent the money on the factory FSM and traced an assload of wires to try and get the thing to go away. It's extremely frustrating, and even more frustrating given this end of my family's situation.

The day I watch that Tahoe go through the crusher will be a great great day. Lol.
