Well that is from where I bought my 2022. Not only did they sell at MSRP but also found several potential candidates for an SR5 Premium with moonroof in nautical blue. That alone surprised the sh*t out of me as no other dealers I contacted within a ~200 mi radius appeared to have that inventory access reach and/or would get off their butt to assist a customer in this momentarily distorted 4runner seller's market. Add to that they are about a 70-mile trek from my home and i didn't have someone to drive my old 4runner back so they hired 2 drivers to get my old vehicle home on their dime. The only negative was the sales guy trying to ambush me into a $8700 extended warranty as I was about to sign the paperwork which nearly sunk the deal. But looking past that botch I believe the business approach of the dealership seemed pro-customer.

If you're registering the vehicle other than in NH only an additional $499 documentation fee (whatever that really is) exists on top of MSRP. In NH they additionally charge ~$28 if you want a state inspection sticker and temporary plate which is below what it would cost me to obtain the same. So from that perspective I really can't complain

Located in eastern Iowa, I have two allocations for 2022 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium 4X4s without KDSS that are available. Lunar Rock and Midnight black. Both have an MSRP of $46,592 plus $2k market adjustment if you’re registering outside IA. Inbox me for details!

Ordered an ORP w/KDSS + Moonroof a month ago. Just patiently waiting. Is supposed to take between 3-5 months, but I have a feeling it might turn out longer than that with the way things are going.

Yeah, the wait times on some models is out of hand. Toyota is telling us dealers we shouldn’t be quoting times for the orders we’re taking because production is so backed up.. You have dealers promising 60-90 days on models you won’t see for a year.

    Quick Charge Cable 70.00
    3P.Paint Protection Film 395.00
VA.In-Vehicle Safe By Console Vault 359.00
    R2.Predator Tube Step 649.00

    MSRP $55,108.00 +TTLD

I feel like I never see an off road premium with Kdss on the east coast. I feel like giving up.

I called this morning and it was last reported on a train. Got a call tonight it’s at the dealer and I pick it up Friday. I’ll send pics when it makes it to the house.

Maybe I should just get a trd pro. I think the only thing I really wanted was the kdss with off road pro but trd pro seems close enough and easier to achieve.

Depends on location, color preference, options. FWIW, I've been first in line at two different dealers for my color on a Pro since December. Feels like we're getting close....but it's been almost five months and still no allocation for either of them.

Exactly 2 months ago I put down a deposit for one specific Army Green Limited 4X4
about 1 month in, they got it but somebody was ahead of me.
Yesterday this came in and I took her home.

MSRP $51640, and I paid about $650 worth of dealer adds, and plus tax title etc.
    out of door $56k.

This is actually the first time I drove a 4Runner, I never got a chance to test drive one due to no inventory, but so far I like it, more refined than the Tacoma for sure.

Drove to dealership and they had one in the lot. Had been quoted $43,900 over the internet for base unit with 2wd, which is what I wanted. The one on the lot had leather seats, heated seats, moon roof and navigation package for $45,000. I didn’t need that stuff, but, bought it on the spot instead of waiting to order one. It’s black with black interior. Financed through Toyota at 3.08% for 72 months.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
No, but here is one after it’s yearly bath a couple weeks ago. The both sides have “Pinenut Mountain Pinstripes” and some trail rash on the drivers side.

Well, I made it home. I found it last week and picked it up today. I can’t believe I found an Army Green with KDSS. I intentionally didn’t even look since I sold my 16 Trail last fall. Nice to get lucky once in a whileF14D0797-4CA0-4F85-9C25-93B29AF62452.jpg

I ordered mine in Sept 21 and picked it up at the end of December 21. Not a terrible timeline considering they said it could take up to 6 months. Paid MSRP +filing fees for a TRD OFF-ROAD. Not a bad deal and I’m loving it! Rides way smoother than my Tacoma did!

I'm about to pony up. My "whale" is a ORP, blue, moonroof, MTM, and nothing else.

I contacted every MSRP dealer within 100 miles - I think 24 in total. Only two have offered a custom order. The first insists on talking on an extended warranty for $1700 and the second will get me everything I want but requires Toyoguard and PPF.

I will probably order from the second. Costs aren't quite where I want them and am now thinking about dropping MTM. Not sure if the bells & whistles are worth an $850 premium.

Question: while going back and forth on options and pricing, the dealer quoted a base price $500 higher than Toyota.com did. They claim that the costs on Toyota.com will go up May 3rd, so they are trying to get ahead of that.

    Is this bullshit?

Tell them you're willing to discuss a price increase on May 3rd if that comes to fruition. Basically, agree to MSRP and let them know if MSRP changes you're willing to discuss with them. That allows you to "agree" with their intent without signing up for BS price increases if they don't actually happen. Good luck.

Picked my Army Green Offroad Premium up from the dealership yesterday. I had gone in and got my name on the list in mid January, so just a little over 3 months which is not bad! Army Green was my number one color choice. I paid MSRP of $45,943 and out the door it was $50,400. It came with the moonroof.

Toyota doesn't do custom orders. The dealers that offered that are simply being dishonest. They wait and see what comes in, and they'll call you if they get something close.

Hmm...i think you are right. They may not do custom orders but at least they are going to do some leg work to find my vehicle, instead of passively keep an eye on current allocation.

Not sure if that's worth paying the $1k deposit to wait up to 120 days.

No dealer will go put of their way to swap with another dealer for your preference, they all sell before they even leave Japan. Your best bet is find a high volume dealer near you who will do msrp

 Wow!! I’m glad my experience didn’t go like that… I paid a 1k deposit and they told me upfront that they would have to wait and see what allocation they have in shipment but the deposit was just like being added to the waiting list. I paid MSRP, not hassled to pay for anything extra like warranties or upgrades, and I was out of the dealership within a few hours on pick up day.

Woo hoo! I found my truck today! no custom order, trade, etc... It is a straight-up dealer allocation. It is exactly what I want. The only add-ons are a moonroof, premium package (MTM), bronze wheels, floor liners, & cargo cover. MSRP= $48,313. Tag, doc, etc will make it $50.3k, out the door.

It's a bit more than I wanted to pay - the difference is the bronze wheels. At least that $1500 over budget gets me something kinda cool. I do like the looks of them, even though I wouldn't actually pay $1500 if I didn't have to. I should probably add that I am a big Denver Bronco fan, so I really dig an orange tint on the wheels to go with the blue paint.

I have a VIN and according to salesman, it left Japan Apr 12 so expecting it here on the east coast late May/early June.

The dealer is over 200 miles away. I opened up my search yesterday when I realized everyone I pinged previously was in the same Toyota region (NC, SC, & FL), and it might be better to check out one or two with different allocations.

And here it is. Had it delivered to my house yesterday. MSRP - All the options I wanted. Came in a little under the 2.5 weeks - cant complain. Going into the shop tomorrow to get it ceramic coated and windows tinted. Have Cali Raised Rock Sliders in transit and will probably do the valiances to black when I have some time to breathe.
