Yes I did. I was very happy with them. Even the F&I guy was quick, easy, and low pressure.

    2022 Nautical Blue 4Runner ORP
    • I put my $500 deposit at a MN dealer on 11/6 on a '22 Nautical Blue ORP. I was told that I was the 6th in line looking for an ORP.
    • Allocated in early December.
    • Built 12/28
    • RORO Vessel Green Lake left from Japan 01/13 (figured that out by getting the estimate of shipping dates from the dealer)
    • Vessel arrived in Portland 01/31 (Toyota App started showing limited info (mileage) I'm guessing it was on the start up to roll off the vessel)
    • Arrived at the dealer 02/26 or 27. I happened to stop by and saw it sitting on the lot even before my dealer notified me.
    • I paid 1% less than MSRP due to their incentive at that time. Not sure what it is now. Although the reason I went with them was a 10 year /150,000 warrantee which they offered while other local dealers did not. Looking forward to picking it up this week.
Does anyone know what the white numbers scribbled on the window indicate? Mine says: BGE 7149 (the ORP sitting right next to it says: BGE 6902) Is that the sequence number as it goes down the line? it was interested to me to see the plastic on the hood and hubs and the dent and scratch prevention on the driver's door.IMG_0406.jpg

Here is my detailed process I posted on another forum:
This is what I have gleaned from other forums. From what I understand the same type of information is available from your dealer. I chose not to bother him as often since I now have the same info.
    1. My salesman gave me the VIN, build dates, shipping and arrival dates from Japan.
    2. I looked for RORO vessels leaving from the Japanese assembly plant port and arriving in US port (for my area I figured it was Portland,OR) close to the dates from the dealer.
    3. Once I figured out the vessel name, I tracked the ship in route using shipinfo.net. They updated their global map every 15 minutes
    4. You can track shipping status and eta by entering your VIN in the following URL:
    https://guest.dealer.toyota.com/v-spec/PUT YOUR VIN HERE/detail
    5. You can use the developer tools in most browsers to uncover details. In Chrome developer tools are located under: View > developer > developer tools. Refresh the browser. Click on the Fetch/XHR header. Then click on your VIN and you will find eta, status, dealer status, etc.
    6. As I continued to monitor the Chrome browser it validated the vessel since the status changed to from "A" to "F" or freight on the date it arrived in Portland. My status went to "G" the day it arrived at the dealer.

no, its because of Toyota's just in time process, they need the other companies that got halted to pick up production so Toyota's assembly lines can run and not have vehicles stacked up like fords.

Maybe, but I'm skeptical that's the case. A cyber attack at a supplier on Monday shouldn't cause an immediate shutdown of production lines at Toyota on Tuesday. Even with JIT, they should have enough inventory in their kanbans to keep the lines going for several days. They also wouldn't want to shut down all 17 plants at the cost of 13k cars/day unless that supplier was critical path for building every vehicle across their linecard (including Hino and others).

Supplier system failure. And with limited supplies, who knows how tight the suppliers are. Or they don’t want to chance it, which could be, just not sure that’s in their culture.

Wife's Lime Rush TRD Pro 2022
After my wife decided what she wanted...I called several dealerships on 2/1 - found one that was selling at MSRP and had one "on the way" they had 3 listed on their website in the color my wife wanted (Lime Rush)...I gave a $500 dollar deposit over the phone that day (2/1) and Brandon sent me the VIN # and spec sheet. Brandon sent me texts a couple times per week with the NLT Date (which was 3/4). Brandon called me yesterday morning and my wife and I went to the dealership and picked it up (2/28) - We were not in the dealership probably more than 2 1/2 hours and most of that was them detailing and installing the predator steps my wife wanted, as well as Brandon pairing her phone and explaining the vehicle to her....very quick and thorough transaction.

They told me at the dealership that they never would sell over MSRP, as they believe it is not the right thing to do and loyalty is paramount to how long they have been in business. I'd have to say I was skeptical during my wait that this transaction would be as seamless as it was - but my wife and I are not spring chickens and if the deal fell through we would be fine...I certainly wasn't going to pay what some dealerships told me (as much as 12K over MSRP).

I'm 60 years old - and have bought a lot of vehicles - this was a very nice transaction...I'd highly recomend this dealership and I will certainly buy additional vehicles from them.

Dealership: Capitol Toyota in Chattanooga TN
    Salesman: Brandon
They even offered me a $500 credit (Military Vet Disc) if I would finance with Toyota.

Are allocations to dealers all made the same day or different based on the region? I thought southeast Toyota updated 1st of month and middle, but as of yet - no allocations. I also noticed that the Toyota site has been stuck on 392 4runners available for my area for a few days... I am thinking this issue with the cyber attack might have something to do with this as well?

    2022 AG ORP
I started putting feelers out to majority of dealers within a 250 mile radius back around the end of January. If they were charging over MSRP and/or wouldn’t give me a decent value for my trade I cut them out immediately. Got down to about 4 dealers who were working with me. I was only wanting an Off-road Premium, preferably in Lunar or AG, but was also open to Mag Gray. Had a few opportunities on white and silver. While those look nice, I was just wanting something a little more unique this time around. My last 3 vehicles have been black. I ended up getting a call last Thursday that a guy backed out of a AG ORP. Dealer was only about 1.5hrs away so drove there Friday and sealed the deal. Had to work at it, make a lot of calls and e-mails, and almost felt like I was hassling a few dealers, but ended up getting one somewhat fast. Going to miss my Tacoma but already loving this 4Runner.

Update #1: The day (2/23) after putting a deposit down with Dealer A above, I called a dealer (lets call them B for now) about 90 miles away and found out they had an allocation in the trim and color I want, but with about 4500 in port added extras. At first they told me they cannot remove, then the next morning, basically removed anything I asked about. We continued to haggle over price getting a few hundred here and there. We were close and the salesmen let me know that another deposit was put on it while we talked. He said he would keep working, but honestly, I was skeptical and a bit upset they would take another deposit before giving me a final notice... but I kind of get it. They were about 800 over dealer A and I am petty!
2/26 - I still have not heard anything from dealer A since the deposit. I leave a message with the new car manager. Same day I get a call from a new guy at dealer A and that he would be handling my sale from now on...odd, but ok.
2/28 - I get a call from dealer B, the person who put a deposit on the one we were negotiating backed out and it was available again. Delivery is march 15th. I told him where we needed to be and to get back to me.
3/2 - New guy at Dealer A offers me a white off-road. I decline and asked if they had received their allocations yet. He tells me no and would let me know. I am skeptical at this point because I am 95% sure they came out on 3/2... But no vin or any details. I message dealer B to see if they forgot about me.
3/3 - I get a call from the new car sales manager at dealer B. He introduces himself and apologizes for the delay in calling me back. we work on the port added options. I ask him to work on the trade value and let me know as soon as he is ready. 20 minutes later I have a deposit down, and an hour later, I get a text that we are all set, and that Toyota accepted the changes to the port adders.

    My current offer :
$36500 for my 19' MG SR5 4x4 (tint, running boards, black badges, 26K miles). Picture / virtual appraisal.
2022 Lunar Off-road port added predator bars, led interior lights, hood, mirror, door paint film, black badges, car charge kit with USB ports, Cargo mat, and toyo platinum) @ $45,032 MSRP
    - 899 in dealer options ( window tint, anti-rear end flashing 3rd break light, and "value shield" which protects your trade in value in the future if you have an accident that reduces your cars trade value up to 10K.

In George we have a TAVT tax on car purchases. When you trade in a car, it reduces the TAVT tax. On this 4runner, the tax without trade is about $3100. With a trade @ 36500, the tax is reduced to about 670. So while I know I could get more at carmax or carvana, to make up the tavt tax difference would mean I would need to get at least $38,900 private party.

All this, rolled up - OTD price in Georgia with a TAVT tax of $670 is $10,850. How's this sound to everyone? I feel like about as good as can be expected. Overall, this price is 470 > dealer A price, but is available in about 10 days. They are also letting me keep my existing roof rack cross bars... so really about 270 difference. I also find the 899 adder details better vs dealer A extra (floor mats and tint), finally, they agreed to 500 more trade in.

Anyways - long post - but updated the best I can. Ill throw some pics up soon!

I finally picked up my 2022 Off-Road Premium with KDSS, Premium Plus Package, and Moonroof yesterday! It took just over 7 months total. I put in a deposit at the first dealership around the end of August 2021 and they still haven't gotten an allocation. I called up another dealership the beginning of December 2021 and put a deposit there. It took them almost exactly 3 months to get it delivered. I did have to drive >200 miles one way though, but it was worth it not to pay a mark-up.

Lol. Your story sounds so much like mine it's hilarious.

I put down a deposit on a Pro late July. I mever got an allocation, put down a deposit elsewhere early December. Took almost 3 months from that point and I picked it up last week, but I had to drive 150 miles to get there.

Wonder if there would be people cancelling their orders due to the current situation and make it easier to pick up a 4R now if you call around?

Yeah getting rid of chrome makes it look so much better. I blacked out all the badging(you can get the OEM badges from eBay for 70-80) and the two chrome bars in the front via some seller on Amazon. Then I removed the Offroad wheels and tires and replaced them with the newer TRD Pro wheels with Nitto ridge grapplers then sold the stock wheels and tires.. I'm not sure if I want to remove the silver valance for black ones or not yet, I kind of think it looks ok but I know black will be better.

i agree with you there. Because it seems pretty expensive just to buy black valances for the front and rear.

What does it cost to wrap them? I paid $300 for both black OEM valences. The dealer would have installed them for $900 at the time of delivery, but I got them for a good price around Black Friday and install was a breeze.

I guess it depends on the wrap you want but I’d guess around 100 should be good enough to buy the materials and then diy it.

That's how I ended up getting mine, a guy backed out of his order at a dealer 3 hours away and bought a highlander instead. It popped up on their New Inventory page on their website (I was checking every dealer website in a 500 mile radius almost daily) I called and immediately placed a deposit.

    Perfect as is.
That's basically the only way to get one quick just keep hounding the dealerships,. Stop in if you can and have them pull up their allocation, timing is everything. Don't be in too much of a hurry I almost settled for one 3 different times and finally landed exactly what I wanted.

The window sticker was just uploaded to the dealer site. Indicates model 8670 C. Have never seen a C on the end of the model number….any ideas?
