Interesting, when I was looking originally, I was specifically asking for an ORP WITHOUT KDSS. I didn't want the added maintenance and threat of hydraulic leakage down the road, and I don't do extreme off-roading, so KDSS just seemed like something that would make no difference to me, but could add problems with age.

The dealers I was conversing with in the Mid-Atlantic reason were telling me "What? Everyone wants KDSS, I don't think we have had any allocations of ORPs without it!".. and I turned down several allocation from Richmond and Northern Virginia dealers because they were KDSS equipped. They could not seem to get me a ORP with no KDSS.

I ended up with a Pro, so it turned out not to be an issue, but KDSS is definitely available and at several MSRP dealers in the Mid-Atlantic region. Now... KDSS WITHOUT a Moonroof is a much different animal. EVERY ORP that I saw come through had both.

Lucky you have a brother who works at the dealer and can look at the log. I don't like any other color but white so I'd want a pro in white. Easy to maintain/clean and all my cars on my driveway is white so I'd like to keep it that way. White is right! lol

I agree with you. I see a lot of the TRD sports.

Well, chance does favors the prepared mind apparently. We were out shopping in Salinas, California for toilets, stopped by Salinas Toyota, and lo and behold, a TRD premium with KDSS sitting on the lot for MSRP. No bullshit add-ons, all MSRP on the options, and no sunroof -woot!

In some ways I feel guilty - sorry, but we’ve been looking and looking and looking and looking… Didn’t need the wilderness package, or the runningboards, but there it was. 90minutes later, we were home.

Hey, as the saying goes, I'd rather be lucky than good. You were at the right place at the right time.

Finally took delivery this week of my new ride. Ordered in October and was told 3-4 months. Great experience with Bristol Toyota in Mass. (MSRP).

Where did you buy your Pro from? I'm holding out for one at a local dealership in Roanoke, but have eyes everywhere in VA looking for one.

Congrats...that's the PRO I was looking out for. Glad to hear you hooked up with a good Toyota Dealer. That's where I failed...
But I'm really happy with my MGM ORP.

Yeah...I was waiting and looking for a MGM PRO in the Metro DC area that didn't have a crazy mark up with no luck. Ended up finding a great MGM ORP that came with a lot of PRO goodies but without KDSS that I have been working on (just added a Fox 2.0 list kit) and she is beautiful.

I got lucky and snagged a 21 Lunar Rock Pro from Jim Coleman Toyota in Bethesda, MD for $2,000 above MSRP in May. I originally wanted a MGM, but switched gears to a LR. I would have been very content with the MGM! That location looks familiar - you in Urbana?

Getting ready to go for a walk with my wife. Probably be passing your house in about 15- 20 minutes.

Do you have any interest in the Predator Steps? I have not taken them off yet, but I want to (Edit - disregard - I see you have the Predator Steps).

I have been seriously thinking about taking the Pro Roof Rack off as well.

My SR5 arrived today after a three week wait. It was originally supposed to come in this weekend but it came in early. I won't be taking delivery until Saturday. The wait is already killing me!

Exactly the same. At port 12/28. They told me early-mid February but that's as much as they know.

Their most recent one took exactly a month from getting to port, to getting off the train and on a truck. So I'm hoping for very early February.

I have an SR5 that is supposed to be on a RORO bound for the NJ/NY ports for arrival 1/23/22. Then of course some Port accessories installed, and what I assume will be a truck ride down the NJ TPK before I get to actually see it. I am envious of you folks who are finding exactly what you will accept among allocations coming in weeks. My "order" was entered in late October. I am anxious, and hopeful to meet in time for my March 3 birthday.

But, I'll also be a little regretful when I turn this guy in after a couple years of awesome service:IMG_4818.jpg

$2000 deposit placed the first week of December with Michael’s Toyota Bellevue. I was told 90-120 days. Deposit is refundable after 180 if they can’t find what I want.

Looking for a Magnetic Gray Metallic 4Runner TRD Pro. Price is MSRP +$3000. Sounds terrible on the surface, but the dealer includes the full Expel paint protection package, running boards of my choice, and driver/passenger window tint to match the rear. All pretty much things I would’ve done anyway. So about $1000 markup, as I see it.

Hoping for a moonroof. Could take or leave the KDSS. Finally returning to a 4Runner after raising two kids. We had to give up my ‘92 as we were hauling kids, friends, dogs, and all their stuff.

Only the second dealer-new car I’ve ever bought. Absolutely cannot wait!

If you're getting a Pro, you'll definitely have a moonroof and you definitely will not have KDSS. Moonroof is standard. KDSS is not available.

Damn! In the Bay(ish) Area no less. My Venture is likewise KDSS w/o moonroof. While I totally get why not having a moonroof has genuine advantages, if you live anywhere near Salinas, you live in one of the few areas in the country where I reckon the juice is worth the squeeze in terms of the weather. That includes the fear of leaving the moonroof open when rain comes as we typically get Winter storms and otherwise sunny.

Had I not had my ORP for a few weeks with KDSS/moonroof before it got destroyed and a ‘21 GX460 prior, not sure if I would care. While I know I was super lucky to find a Venture given COVID and so on last June, my clucks given about the black wheels and rack are….

DARCARS Toyota of Frederick (Maryland) has a Lime Rush Pro sitting on it's lot today. Their website says "call for price".
