Are you going to an MA meeting?
Mods Anonymous. Hi my name's that bass guy and I've got the bug.
Totally kidding, ever since I put on the 285s I kinda wish I went 295!
    It’s gonna be awesome!

Lol! Is there such a things as MA? I might have to join. :D

There's a little part if me wondering if I should have just stuck to 285's, but the size difference is so small. I guess we'll see if I hate myself after a few thousand miles.

    I'm sure you'll be fine with 295's.

You already have a high clearance cut, UCA's, and a BMC right?

    If so, you're all set.

BMC is done. Caster is at 3.9. I might try to get more out of it. I'm sure will need to adjust the fender liners. I'm hoping that does it.

Yes. Performance Off-road. They moved to a bigger shop in Waukesha now. I get tire envy every time I go there. Yesterday there was a Wrangler on 42's!

I did a lot of research about them. I hope they meet expectations. I've had good luck with Yokohama in the past. I'm excited!

I want to put them on this week, but I don't know if it's a good idea. They probably won't be good for winter driving. But, I want to see how they are on the highway and decide whether to put them on for my Florida trip or not.

Nice! I may join you with that tire.
Not sure about the size though. Probably just 285.

I'm vacationing in Florida right now. I've been getting lots of compliments and and long looks at my 4Runner here in Cape Coral. While there are a couple lifted 4Runners around, I've yet to see another one with a winch bumper or light bar. Lots of pickups with huge tires.

    I've been flipped off twice.
Had 2 drivers try to get into my lane with me still in it. I was able to avoid them but thought the rock sliders would've given me some protection.

So far it doesn't seem much different than it was with the 285's. They grazed the fender liner as I backed out of a parking spot, but that was it. I still haven't adjusted the fender liner on the firewall side, so I should be able to fix that.

I'll be in that area in a few weeks! There are definitely enough crazy drivers in Florida.

Weird my Sister & her fam were down here (Cape Coral) the week before us. We're heading down to Key West Sunday, for 3 days. Then back to Missouri. Crowded / very suburban in this area. Probably wont be back here. Will find somewhere else to explore in Florida next year.

Ah the enigma that is the Florida driver. People from all over the world with no clue how to drive.

One time I was getting ready to merge to the left to get into the exit lane for one of the centrally located rest stops between the north/south on the Turnpike. Checked my mirrors twice, looked over my left shoulder no one there except a car about a 1/4 mile back. He must have been doing over 100, because he was instantly on my bumper.

He whipped around inches from my passenger side and was gonna cut me off until he saw my Shrockworks bumper, I gave a little swerve towards him and he thought better of it and got back over. At that point he flipped me off and honked his horn. Well for his trouble he got a big Cheshire grin with my hand in a pistol style gesture. Love a full size winch bumper.

Might be a tough one. You may be able to drop your pressure and squeeze it under there. That's why I did a Detours Knuckle Bone carrier a year and a half ago. Unfortunately he has lead times comparable to everyone else in the off road fabrication industry right now. Twenty something weeks. With AWD, shuffling tires around to accommodate a smaller size tire for a spare wasn't an option. Not sure how far you could travel like that before you risk diff problems.

This is part of the reason for the new roof rack. I will probably keep the spare up there when space is at a premium. Otherwise it might ride in the cargo area if I can find a safe/secure way to keep it there.

Yea that's what I had to do with my 4th gens 35. Wasn't an option for the 5th because of my fridge. I like the Wilco carrier but it was stupid expensive when I was shopping. Really don't want a rear bumper either, this thing weighs in at almost 6k already.

Agreed! I like the look of a rear bumper, but don't need an extra 300# back there, plus a tire hanging off.
